“German style lunch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

My wife and I are both of German origin and therefore know 'A bit' about German cuisine. The German specialties plate for 2 we ordered for lunch was rather disappointing. The sausages and meatloaf were OK but the Kasseler was greasy and dry. The Bratkartoffeln on which the meats were piled had nothing to do with the traditional Bratkartoffeln my Bavarian grandmother used to prepare. We were served plain potato wedges with a pinch of fried onions and bacon. Even a blind German with no taste buds would never call this Bratkartoffeln. What a joke!!! We decided to skip the coffee and deserts and left without anybody bothering to find out whether we enjoyed the meal. They must have a good reason for that............

“Average through and through”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

Had the Barossa pie and hazelnut torte, neither of which was impressive. In particular, after noting a description of this place having the best pies in the Barossa, the pie I had was more or less what you'd get in a cheap suburban bakery - a jelly like meat filling and run-of-the-mill pastry.

After not providing a recommendation upon asking, I chose the hazelnut torte which again was like a standard home made cake, unremarkable in any way.

If you're not concerned about the quality of food you eat and like indifferent service, this is the place for you.
