We 'stumbled' over this restaurant during a recent visit to the Barossa. It is right next to McGuigan winery and is in a stunning location. The food was exceptional. We shared the zucchini kroketas to start and they were lovely, light and delicious. We then shared one of the day's specials which was a wood fired lamb rump cooked with Greek flavours on a bed of salad. It was delicious. The lamb was cooked medium rare and melted in your mouth.
It seems to be a small family run restaurant so I could imagine that they could easily be overrun if they had too many walk ins arriving at the same time, but we were there on a quiet Thursday lunch and the service was great.
We also enjoyed the stories of Christmas and Easter - the family geese that roam around the grounds!
If only we lived in South Australia. I could imagine this place becoming one of our favourites.
