We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of days and we commend Wayne, Laureth and staff on their hospitality. Pumpkin is a piece of God's wonder and paradise far enough away to unwind and relax but not too far to travel.

Room Tip: Tropical Tide is perfectly positioned for families of younger kids that will benefit from playing on...

The huts are very clean and neat, the peace and quiet is priceless. It is really nice to un-plug, have no telle and just enjoy the art of relaxing.
There seemed plently on offer to do if you felt like it. Kayak-ing etc, we were just happy lying on the beach and reading.
We had our 21 month-old daughter with us and we felt very safe.
Thank you to Wayne and Leureth for a wonderful stay.

Visited Pumpkin with my wife and 18 month old son and had the time of our lives. I travel around the world selling wine for a living and have stayed in more than one or two hotels in my time. Pumpkin Island is such a refreshing change I can't wait to go back. It is not 5 star resort style that you might expect in say the Maldives but is definitely 4 star plus and everything is clean and virtually brand new. I love self catering but hate kitchens for example that have old pots and pans, no knives etc etc. Our lodge was fully kitted out and there was even a brand new Weber Barbeque on the deck on which we could cook the fresh fish that we caught! Our young son loved running around on the sandy beaches and the shallow calm water was ideal for him to play in while we could relax from the comfort of one of the hammocks outside our lodge.

Wayne and Laureth who run the island are truly unbelievable and passionate people who go to amazing lengths to make your stay one that you will never forget. From the time we arrived they made us feel welcome and were also amazing tour guides and fountains of knowledge on everything around the island and in the ocean. What they have done in terms of environmental sustainability is fantastic and the fact the island is able to run on solar and wind power is something that more resorts should look into. I would really recommend Pumpkin to everybody.

We were absolutely blown away by how special this little place is! We had a fantastic weekend made absolutely perfect by wonderful hosts & staff. We were lucky enough to see a sting ray, turtle, osprey & giant clam while kayaking only meters from the island. Coral Cove was a perfect hideaway and we felt so relaxed and at home. The night time thunderstorms just added to the magic as well. This will always hold a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to return with family and friends. Thank you Wayne, Laureth, Milo & Coco!

When I arrived on Pumpkin Island with a group of very special friends last month, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. What a beautiful surprise the island was - just like a postcard.
Pumpkin Island is beautiful to look at, and the accommodation is spotlessly clean, cool, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen and patios were perfectly kitted out for cooking and catering and everything was thought of and provided for - private hammocks for reading and lounging in, glass bottom kyacks, paddle boats and tinnies offered us lots to do.
A special mention must be made of our hosts Wayne and Laureth, who were attentive, helpful and friendly throughout. They deserve every success in the world.
Will do whatever it takes to visit again!

Room Tip: Don't forget your torch, a hat, sunscreen, and a good book!

I have always fancied my very own piece of Paradise, and found it on Pumpkin Island.
My partner and I arrived in July to discover tropical greenery skirting the white sands, and the rest of the Island didn't disappoint either. Each of the five self catering, eco friendly cottages are positioned to give each home a sense of privacy you simply don't get in big resorts. This reflected also in the knowledgeable and friendly care our hosts Wayne and Laureth gave us. They combined a helpful and thoughtful countenance with the appreciation that we also enjoyed our own space perfectly.
As for our home of five nights, Coral Cove, it was immaculately clean- they had evidently gone to a lot of trouble to ensure hygienic and safe lodgings whilst still feeling cosy. Many of the Islands features had been incorporated inside and out to create a cottage that blends with its surroundings.
Our hosts were always available for any questions, or usually just a chat, and the volunteers they had staying were very friendly and helpful- they even took us to a beautiful snorkelling reef!
There is plenty to do here; for the adventurous there are glass bottomed kayaks, snorkelling and fishing gear all free and available, and we saw plenty of play things for kids. For artisans, bring a notepad or canvas and create yourself a masterpiece. Of course, the beach naturally beckons a good book and a cold beer if you're feeling more laid back; something for every mood or whim.
At low tide a pathway reveals itself to a small neighbouring Island, which we went exploring and watched the eagles scouting for food. We indulged in a bonfire or two on the beach beneath the stars, so were glad of our marshmallows!
We were lucky enough to see dolphins jumping on our trip back aboard the Pumpkin Express, which I feel summed up our holiday nicely.
If you long for Sky TV, jacuzzi's and around the clock room service, this is not the place for you.
However, if you enjoy an informal yet professional service, a retreat where you are free to roam as you please, or simply your very own patch of Paradise- then this is the place for you.
