“FANTASTIC DISPLAY OF MEMORABILIA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Other than the War Memorial in Canberra, this has to be the very best Military Museum in Australia
If you are very lucky, you can also touch the Victoria Cross earned by Page - the highest decorated Australian Soldier in Vietnam

“Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

A definate must see located in historic Wharf Street in Maryborough. Allow plenty of time for your visit - indeed a day would not be enough to appreciate the finer nuances of all the exhibits. The exhibits are laid out according to each particular theatre of war and it can be a very personal experience. The volunteers on duty the day we went were so knowledgable and each had their own field of endeavour which they were so willing to share as well as breathing life into exhibits which one may ordinarily glance at, yet with a little guidance, can appreciate the finer details such as watermarks on medal ribbons or the way the folds on a sailors uniform must be pressed. There is also a reference library which members of the public are welcome to use on site as well as access to a photocopier.
