4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Had a very warm welcome from Mary, she had made cookies for us on arrival.Bedroom was large, with a big comfortable bed.Accomadation had 2 bathrooms which are shared between guests. Mary has a wicked sense of humour and is a very likeable person.Mary offered us cooked breakfasts each day but we kept to toast and coffee, there was always plenty of cereal etc on offer. We spent 3 nights here .The nicholsons

Stayed here for one night in October, as a stop over between the airport and Toowoomba. I arrived quite late after a long plane trip and was offered a cup of tea and bickies on arrival. Friendly and welcoming. Wooden floors and antique furniture. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nice big bathroom (shared) and tea and coffee making facilities available. If you like B&B's, this one is pretty good.

I stayed at Mary's Place for several nights in June. If you want to stay somewhere special with a personal touch this is the perfect place for you. I cannot recommend it more. Natasha (London, UK).

Room Tip: All the rooms looked beautiful.

We live only 40 minutes away in Brisbane but had a function on in Ipswich and decided to stay the night and found Marys Place on the web. We arrived late afternoon and Mary had fresh hot scones waiting for us with jam and cream along with a cup of coffee.

Marys Place is a Queensland type house built in 1928 full of antiques only short walk away from the city centre. Our room was the smaller of the three available (only booked the day before) but very comfortable. There are two bathrooms for the house and one has a great claw foot bath which is ideal for a long soak.

Mary was able to offer good suggestions for dinner and the next morning had a cooked breakfast for us.

Our bed was an antique double which was very comfortable and had good quality linen compared to the normal hotel/motel type.

Tea and coffee making facilities were available in the lounge area along with home made biscuits.

Ordinarily would not have thought about staying in Ipswich the night but after our stay planning on another night later in the year. Did not take any photos but the web site contains photos which are a fair description of the house. Link to the web site is www.marysplaceipswich.com.au
