Rainbow Ocean Palms Resort can only be described as pure luxury in a perfect tranquil location.
From the moment we arrived at Rainbow Beach and drove toward the complex we knew the resort was everything we expected it to be and much more.
Mark and Tanya Beech, the resort managers, were very attentive from the moment we arrived, showing us to our penthouse apartment and ensuring we had everything we needed and knew what the complex had to offer us.
The apartments were immaculately presented, with modern furnishing and a comfortable feel.
The thing that struck me the most during our weekend stay was that it was so quiet, very relaxing with the national park on one side and residential housing on the other, the sounds of the ocean and birds singing in the trees behind us added to the resort's charm.
While it felt as though we were miles from anywhere, we were actually not very far from the township and the beaches, which is great when you want to explore the surrounding areas. I would strongly recommend a walk up to the Sand Blower (Coloured Sands) with a bottle of wine and some great company, and of course four-wheel driving on the local beaches.
The highlights of our weekend at Rainbow Palms were the panoramic views out to Fraser Island, our sensational (and gluten free) dinner at the onsite restaurant - the Waterfront Bistro - and of course watching the sunset and rise over the Bay.
Oh and the attention given to us by Mark and Tanya made us feel very special indeed.
There is nothing I can fault the resort on and would recommend it to anyone and everyone, it's certainly a luxurious escape and one I expect to enjoy again.
The only tip I have for potential visitors to Rainbow Beach and Ocean Palms is, don't always rely on your GPS to get you there, I ended up on a dirt road in the national park in a Hyundai Accent, when I should have taken the road via Gympie.
All in all a top getaway for everyone, thanks for an awesome weekend Tanya and Mark!
