We had no accommodation booked at Rainbow Beach and stumbled on these apartments and what a joy. They had availability (lucky for us) and even gave us an upgrade to save us waiting for a clean room. The apartment was $250 for the night (we got it for $200) and worth evey penny. It was very spacious, beautifully decked out in a minimalistic style and everything seemed of the highest quality. Big showers, spa bath, soft fluufy towels and crisp white linen added to the treat! There are good black out blinds and good double glazing for those lie ins! We had an apartment on the front facing the sea with a lovely patio/garden. There is a (small) pool and underground carparking. The village of Rainbow Beach is fantastically uncommercial and unspoilt with easy access to Fraser Island. The beach is spectacular. You are able to drive your 4WD along the beach to find a quiet spot! And all this is backed by the colourful sand dune cliffs. The only reason why I think it's not as popular as other places is because of the jellyfish. A lovely relaxing, spoilt time had by all. We have been travelling for 6 months and this is among the top in accommodation that we have experienced.
