“Fantastic location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Quick visit here for a midweek afternoon tea. This is in a very good location, at the end of a point where there's a nice park and a short walk around the shore. Great view out over the islands in the bay and across towards the port.

We simply had gelato, however took it through the cafe seating on the waterfront. The view here is magnificent - sitting out of the wind watching the sea birds and fishermen was bliss.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we'll certainly be back to sample the main meals. The menu looked very tempting. They were doing a pretty brisk trade in take away fish and chips, even late in the afternoon, and the prices looked pretty good too.

“Brilliant location but food lets it down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

I've tried this restaurant several times and always left a little disappointed. The seafood is often frozen and not as fresh as it could be, when the "fresh" crab meat is mushy and tasteless you know it's been frozen and defrosted. Perhaps it's the incredible location on Cleveland Point directly sitting over the lapping waves that lift the expectation because for me it has never quite delivered. I really hope it lifts its game because if it did it could become iconic!

“Great location, food and drink a bit over priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

I have been quiet a few times, it's probably the best place in Cleveland as it located on the water and has beautiful views of islands. The staff are always really nice and professional and in the two years that we have been going there they still have the same staff members which always gives a good impression I think!
The menu looks great but unfortunately there is only a few things on there that I like. I have tried many dishes but have always been dissapointed so I now stick to the same two meals when i go - oysters mornay (I'm usually a kilpatrick fan but there's is not good), then for mains I get the prawn and salmon salad (in entree section on menu) which is always lovely. Good drink selection.
It's a bit expensive and it usually cost two of us about $120 for lunch. they charge a pretty hefty surcharge on public holidays too so be mindful of that.
One other dissapointment is there themed night, we went to a Greek one and it was terrible, being a seafood restaurant and Greek theme I thought we would be eating mainly seafood but all that was given was chewy and soggy calamari, fatty tough lamb and some other meat that wasn't much better. Would not do another themed night... Will stick to the oysters and prawn/salmon salad!!
For a great view and ok food it's worth a visit every now and then and like I said it's the pick of restaurants in Cleveland.

“Seaside Dining, Bay Views and Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

A special place to bring visitors to Cleveland although it cannot compare to fine dining in any major city - but it's one of the better venues in Cleveland. Sir ordered the seafood linguine smothered in a spicy foamy seafood bisque. It was definitely the meal of the day. Madam received the sandcrab lasagne again served with a seafood bisque. It arrived with loads of beautiful crab between sheets of delectable lasagne. Again rated excelllent. Guests ordered fish meals but a bit disappointed when they arrived with chips. The crumbed fish was quite ordinary - what one would expect to have at a takeaway fish and chip shop. The wines were average price - a combination of australian and new zealand selections so was acceptable. The wait staff were quite efficient.. A very pleasant venue with outstanding water/bay views.

“wonderful seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

This is a fantastic seafood restaurant worth travelling to the suburb of Cleveland on Moreton Bay. The food was beautifully prepared and we loved both the calamari and then the seafood platter which included lobster. Service, location and atmosphere - excellent!
