Incredible, one of the favourite places i have ever been. The environment and culture makes the place perfect. I wish I could go back. I don't see how anyone can not give this 5*'s. Also you have to do the whip cracking as it is brilliant fun and it made me feel like a child again.

I selected this farmstay because of the fully catered meals since I am travelling with my husband and 2 kids, and I cannot cook.

I booked 2 rooms at the Homestead and was happy that there were no one else staying there and we had the huge house to ourselves. The dining room is just behind the homestead and is convenient for us.

The rooms in the homestead are aged but clean. When we stayed in mid June, it was very cold at night. There is a heater and electric blanket which kept us warm in bed, but we were freezing when we got out of bed. The door locks were also very old and hard to turn.

Other than these problems, we did enjoy ourselves very much. The surroundings are beautiful, and felt like a very authentic farmstay. We enjoyed all the activities like animal feeding, milking the cow, boomerang and whip, lunch by the creek, as well as horse riding. My kids enjoyed playing with the cat and exploring the "tree house" for the chickens.

Nigel and his family are very easy going and friendly, they took really good care of us. We are from Singapore and are pleasantly surprised to meet 2 other Singaporean families during our stay. I guess this is because it was the June school holidays in Singapore.

For those who are short of time, a one night stay is enough to enjoy all the activities.

We just spent 2 nights in the Dairy Cottage and wished it was for longer. The 11 of us (4 children 7 adults) in one house was great fun. The location is beautiful and the weather was perfect. The animal feeding and milking the cow was a big hit with children and the adults! Exploring the farm and creek was an adventure and hiking up the hill for the view well worth it.
It's an easy drive south of Brisbane for a weekend away or longer if you have the time.

Spent two nights in the Wallaby Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. Animal feeding was a great experience for all 3 kids ages 14, 12 & 2. Walking and exploring around the farm was a lot of fun. Nigel & Sabrina were great host with plenty of communication prior to arriving. The wwokers were lovely and Josh even though there for a week knew alot and loved showing us around. Rain on the 2nd day but gave us much needed rest.

We just got back from Cedar Glen. It was our best family trip ever. We swam in the amazing creek, made campfires, played tennis and more. Climb Jacks Rock its the best view and hike you will ever go on. It starts steep but so worth it just ask the great staff about how to get to it! We also milked the cow and fed the chicks, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep and the pigs. The have tennis rackets, fishing rods and board game at the office. The horse back riding is also an amazing experence. What a Great Way to Spend Easter!!! p.s. the view of the mountains in the morning was amazing so mystical:) Go There It Is Truely The Best!!! p.s.s. for swimming pool I a counted it as the creek and fitness as the activites Thanks

Room Tip: I personally think the Dairy and Simpson Cottages were the most private.

We recently spent two nights at the Dairy Cottage over Easter weekend with our five kids. As it's large, we invited another family, also with five kids for the second night. Call us crazy, but we had a FANTASTIC time...!! 14 of us, 10 kids ages 4-14 , all comfortable in the Dairy Cottage.

Nigel and all the staff were very gracious hosts, and they negotiated a discount rate for the extra family. We self catered all meals to keep it less costly and logistically simpler. The kitchen, though simple, was well supplied and adequate...

The view from the cabin of the peaks of Lamington NP was amazing. Each cabin was widely seperated and private, I personally think the Dairy and Simpson Cottages were the most private.

Our kids spent the weekend chopping wood, building campfires, creek swimming, riding horses and hiking. The animal feedings were surprisingly a high point, even for the teens..

Horseback riding was a big hit too, though an added charge. I hiked up to Jack's Rocks with my sons, a strenuous 30 minute hike rewarded by stunning views, that was the high point to me. We detoured to explore caves on the way down.

All in all, a wonderful immersion into an entirely different way of life, less than two hours from Brisbane. Not cheap, but highly, highly recommended, esp. for couples, or families with school age kids. A+....

We recently experienced a long weekend at Cedar Glen. We were a family of 4 and went fully catered. All the meals were fantastic from the bacon and eggs in the morning to the picnic lunch with quiches and sandwiches to the home cooked meal in the evening. We stayed in the Wallaby Cottage it was very comfortable and quiet with a wonderful verandah that overlooks the valley. We experienced all the activities including the trail riding with "Tash" whose enthusiasm was boundless. Our affable host Nigel quietly kept things on track including hosting our twilight 4 wheel drive tour and teaching us how to swing the billy and crack the stock whip. Our kids loved the feeding times and were there every morning enjoying milking the cows and feeding the sheep and chickens. This is a wonderful venue for a great Farm Stay.
