“A great farm stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013 via mobile

I've been to 3 other farm stay in Australia and NZ and found Clandulla to be the best so far. Although the farm is not huge but it has a very good collection of resident animals (peacock, kangaroo, parrots, cockatoos, chicken, goose, miniature horse, cow, sheep, pig, turkey and I believe I forgotten some).
Our host, John, has been excellent. He has a very close bonding with his animals. He tries to make the children feel comfortable with the animals as they are a little afraid of them initially. They warm up to the animals very quickly with his encouragement.
The cottage has a nice outdoor dining area where we enjoy our daily breakfast at. There's a pool table, children playground and open area for the children to run about.
The interior of the cottage is not luxurious but it's comfortable. Overall, this is a great place and will recommend it to my friends.

From the moment we opened the front gate and were greeted by John and Lorna we felt right at home. The farm and animals are so well cared for and are a testament to John and Lorna's love of what they do. Our cottage was so homely and immaculate......and quiet. It was lovely to curl up on the lounge in front of fireplace with a glass of wine and a magazine, while the kids were running around outside playing. I didn't have to fear them getting into any trouble as the grounds and animal enclosures are secure. it was nice to see our kids getting back to nature, playing with animals and climbing trees, no IPad or IPod or X Box in sight and not once did I hear "I'm bored" there was so much for them to see and do. The food that Lorna prepared for us was made with so much love and was just delicious, it was so lovely to share a meal with them on one night and share all of the wonderful stories. Our kids especially loved feeding and playing with Abbey the baby Wallaroo. Thank you John and Lorna and Clandulla Cottages we had the best weekend and will be back again and again and again with much love from the Trask-Cirsten Family xoxox

Room Tip: We stayed in the Mexicano Suite, roomier for a family and the fireplace is an added bonus. There is...

We stayed here for 2 nights and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to enjoy a Farmstay. John and Lorna are such lovely people who take such good care of the animals and the cottages are kept immaculate and they have thought of everything. The beds are comfy and the rooms are spacious and warm. Great for families or couples wanting a break. Great location.

The farm is very family friendly, especially for young children.

The rooms are beautiful and very clean.

The animals are friendly and always happy to have a pat.

You never want to leave. We will definitely be back!

Our whole family booked the entire place just before new years when we were going to a wedding in the area. It was the most peaceful relaxing time. The kids loved it and are still talking about it. The facilities are brilliant with the central communal area or your own private self contained apartment. I only wish we could have stayed a lot longer. That hammock under the tree is worth spending an entire afternnon alone. I hope we get a chance to go back!

Great place to stay if you want to experience Aussie farm stay.
I stayed for 2 days during the weekend before X'mas with my wife and 3-year old girl.
Unlike those more commericial and "show-type" of farm visits, at Clandulla Cottages you can really get close to the farm animals and kangaroos without a bunch of other tourists hogging around. Our little girl absolute love the close animal interaction.
The farm is located at Boyland which is not too far to explore the Tamborine mountain region, especially the national parks.
Life is slow and easy here..but as a city guy, it can get bored when night falls,...but I am happy with the huge number of cable TV channels avaliable to keep me entertained at night.
The other faciliaties like the open lounge area with snooker table, BBQ facilities, etc...would be good if you are travel with a larger group of friends or family members.
