“Beautiful food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

We wandered in one quiet Thursday evening to find ourselves the only ones eating here so early (about 6:30pm). The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, they were lovely.

We chose the warmed Camembert with toasted brioche - rich and delicious, a dish we have told many about. A wonderful starter.

We then chose the confit duck main and the fish & chips main and were very happy with both the presentation and generous serves. The flavours were fantastic, especially with the duck and we left for a walk to return an hour later for some ice cream after making room for dessert! A wonderful meal with great staff and relaxed, laid back settings. Can't help but feel that the food quality and standard wouldn't be out of place in Port Douglas or Noosa - a fine little restaurant that we will certainly revisit at our holiday in Agnes Water!

“Could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Someone told me to come to this little restaurant so we did. I found it ok if you want to spend a fortune for what I thought was ordinary food.Don't get me wrong it was tasty but way too expensive for what it was.Oysters with mango puree entree, scallops entree, and a fish meal with one bottle wine & 4 beers $200.The area's pleasant enough, service fine, not overly friendly. The thing that spoilt it for me was the fact that I couldn't figure out weather it was suppose to be fine dining or a local fish chip shop.....charge like fine dining, rally they could do better and a little music wouldn't go astray either.Would I go again? doubt it....

“Excellent value, food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

My husband and I had breakfast and dinner here and enjoyed both meals. The food had very fresh ingredients and was presented well, not to mention the extremely generous serves! The service was attentive and friendly. Coffee was very good as well! If we had stayed longer I would have tried their cakes and ice-cream as both looked yummy!

Highly recommended!

“Friendly service”

The meals were well presented and fresh. We went for the daily specials and found the prices quite good. We went back 3 times so must have enjoyed it.

“Two terriffic dining experiences at Bustards!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

Thoroughly enjoyed the soft shell crab as my entree and for main a deliciously tender lamb rump. Very well priced and found the atmosphere to be very inviting. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. As we enjoyed the experience so much, we went back for breakfast on the Sunday and found that to be of equally good quality and just as enjoyable. A delicious big breakfast, a beautiful strong coffee and great surrounds with the sunshine adding a different light. A quaint, little restaurant and by far the best food and value for money in town.
