“Great value for money!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

The heritage house is great value for money. It's location is extremely wonderful, close to the wharf that has a restaurant , that served scrumptious seafood, including hot fish n chips. The apartments were spotless and had a private parking each. The kitchen was well equipped with a complete set of cutlery etc. The apartments also had a dryer, a washing machine, a jet jacuzzi and heating lamps in the bathroom in case it got too cold :-)
They also provided free Wi-Fi, with fairly good strength.
We were a family with two adults, one teenager and one child.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience;

Room Tip: Try asking for a apartment on the second level

Stayed for two nights and found the owners friendly, the rooms spacious and clean. The continental breakfast was good and the motel is conveniently located near the club and pub, and a short walk from the wharf. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a motel, absolutely brilliant. It provided us with a quality one bedromm apartment for the price of most ordinary motel room. The apartment was very well equipped with modern furniture and fittings, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and very pleasant, we would certainly stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it.

We are a professional couple with no kids from Newcastle (NSW)... We've lived and travelled extensively throughout Asia, Western Europe, Canada & throughout the UK (not to mention within Australia - WA, NAW, VIC, QLD, & NT)...
We needed a break so took off and set the GPS south... We ended up in Eden and found this lovely hotel. I was almost not going to recommend as I'd like this place to remain hard to find but that would be selfish of me...
Was charged $130 for an upstairs room with an awesome view.... Saw two whales about a KM out to sea within two minutes of unpacking the car.... The room is very spacious, separate lounge room, massive bathroom and two queen beds... The owner/manageress is lovely and I have absolutely no hesitation to promote this hotel.... I just hope no one reads this ;0)
Forgot to mention there is a Killer Whale museum within walking distance as well as a club for dinner... Will try that tonight....

If we had been staying longer than one night, we would definitely choose an upstairs sc unit for the facilities and the views. However, we had no complaints about the great standard room downstairs. I say 'standard' but there was a microwave, plates and cutlery, as well as the usual toaster and kettle. It was a large room with a comfortable bed and a very large bathroom. It was very clean, light and airy. We had ocean glimpses from the window. The location is fantastic. The greeting at reception was very hospitable. Price was unbelievably low for school holidays. Eden is so beautiful that we would love to return for a longer visit and would be very happy to stay in a unit at Heritage House.

We stayed one night here on our trip to Victoria. Booked ahead but don't think we needed to. Location was great as we just walked across the road to Fishermans club for dinner. Had an upstairs room which had a lovely view of ocean. Room comfortable and warm on a cold night. Some gret walks around Eden.

We were recommended to Heritage House by relatives and could not be more pleased. We were travelling home to the Gold coast and wanted an overnighter in Eden and went straight to Heritage House. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff who were extremely efficient and booked us into a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor at very reasonable cost. This apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and inviting with views straight out over the ocean. The bathroom was huge with full laundry facilities, the kitchen was fully equipped for self catering and the loungeroom had two very cosy couches with a HD flatscreen TV. The whole apartment was so clean and comfortable that we stayed an extra night to enjoy it, we would have stayed longer but unfortunately we ran out of time. The location of Heritage House is right in the main street of Eden and there are numerous things to do and places to visit both in the town and within the region. So, if you are looking for spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation in Eden, then this is the place for you but please don't stay one night because you will need a lot longer to enjoy the accommodation and the region. This is top class digs at a very reasonable cost.

Room Tip: It appears that all rooms have great views.
