We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses and usally never have a complaint. This one however is in about the same class as a Motel 6. The bed linens were very worn, to the point you could see through them. The room just "felt dirty" and the whole hotel didn't have a clean odor. The maids each morning started off the day laughing so loud and talking it woke us up. (We weren't the only guests to stick our head out and ask they be quiet) They continued on as if they didn't care. The front desk didn't do anything, like the previous review, they seemed afraid to approach the property manager on this. The only decent part of the stay was the breakfast. Was up to normal HIE standards and consistency. Spend another 30 bucks and go down the street to the Hilton Garden Inn.

My family and I booked a weekend stay to visit the Omaha zoo and planned to take our small children there. I had an encounter with a night clerk at the hotel that was bizarre and left me quite unsettled. I didn't feel safe staying the second night so we checked out of the hotel on our way to the zoo. None of the morning front desk clerks offered any help, other than telling us we were welcome to go to another hotel, but without a refund. There was no manager on site and we were told we would have to wait until Monday morning to speak with him. Eventually I spoke to the GM of the hotel who offered a solution, but did not follow through in his promise to terminate the employee. I would highly recommend choosing another hotel, as I know this clerk still works there as of 07/28/07.

My family stayed only one night, but must say, we were impressed with the hotel. Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a preference on floors and rooms. When getting to our room, we noticed the room smelled and looked clean. The bath towels were very nice as well. We did use the pool, which was kinda small, but a decent size for the hotel. The pool area and pool were very clean, but too much chlorine. During the early evening hours, you could hear everything going on in the hallway. After 10pm or so, it was quiet as can be. We also had a decent night sleeping on the beds.

In the morning, we decided to do the continental breakfast which was fine. They had cheese omelettes, biscuits and gravy, muffins, donuts, cereal, and some fruit and yogurt. Decent meal.

We would definately stay there again.

One of the best low cost hotels I've stayed at for a long time .. modern furniture, clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend it for the traveler on a budget. Like all moderately priced hotels, you can get some noise from neighbors if they blast their TV sets, but turning on the a/c/heat fan solves that problem.
