“Cheap not cheerfull”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

Would not recommend due to constant noise on a busy street including ambulance + police with sirens on to cut through main roundabout traffic which is always busy. On average sirens will blare 3-6 times an hour all day/night as xaine is situated on the hosp. route next to the main bus station.

Its a fattys paradise with nowt but pizza/burger/kebab joints & only around 5 eateries worth a mention} La Parilla,, Oriental Express,, Wok Chao (at the bungee ball) ,, Tobago,, + a mexican by the town hall.

Disappointed that there were no live music bars or entertainment going on at night, never came across as much as a kareoke bar.

Once a week sheets change,no towel,toilet roll,our air con. never worked,just rumbled.

3/5 overall.

good morning!
Typically the sheets are changed every 5 days, if the customer requests can be changed at any time. At the moment there is a complaint of malfunctioning of any facility, must be solved immediately, writing to give you knowledge of maintainer.
If it is true that the apartments are all centrally located near the beach and restaurants around there are a variety of food. There is a live music festival, the months of July and August near the beach `" Clone musical festival "A bar El Salero, end of the beach, under the castle, where they made Karaoke. We feel that this information has been given in reception or in the tourist office of Lloret.
Lloret offers a wide range of suggestions, both gastronomic, cultural, sports and leisure.
Thank you.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012 via mobile

I booked this holiday as a girly fun time away for my Birthday. We found Xaine Apartments last minute on a site called on the beach.

We got a great deal for a 7 nights self catering apartment for up to 4 people.

There were only 3 of us sharing the apartment which was nice and spacious. We felt at home and relaxed.

So here are the pros and cons.

Cons: When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to pay a €100 security deposit in case we damaged any of their property. This was not written anywhere when we had initially booked, which was actually the fault of the online agency we used.

The balcony was dirty with used cigarette butts lying around. Because of this, we deliberately did not use the balcony.

There was no oven only a table top cooker

The kettle was an old style one which we had to boil on the cooker.

The air conditioning was not working for about 5 days of our stay, which was so annoying as when we'd come back to the flat from spending the whole day at the beach, our apartment was so hot and stuffy. Although we complained about this everyday, they didn't eventually fix it till when we were about to leave.

We also had to complain about the lack of hot water we got from the shower. It appears as if they were trying to save money by turning off the hot water throughout the day. literally the shower would be hot for the first 3 minutes of turning it on then go cold. This was the most frustrating part of the holiday.

Now for the pros.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous, 30°c at least everyday which was amazing.

We got to use free wifi at the local macdonalds that was attached to our hotel and the burger king opposite also allowed us to use their wifi by giving us their password.

Everything that we need was within walking distance, the local spa, fast food and restaurants were 10-15 mins walk away.

There were so many bars and clubs to chose from if you wanted to go out and have a good time.

We particularly enjoyed going to a bar called Rockerfellers, where the staff were mainly british and the dj played some great tunes.

The main beach loret de mar was lovely, very clean and just a walk away.

Great places to eat:

Chao Wok, fantastic chinese buffet. You have a choice of eating already cooked chinese delicacies and also get a choice of raw meat, fish and vegetables cooked on a grill in front of you and for a decent price of €12

Café de la Vila:

Amazing meat paella. I've had paella before which was horrible and had too many broken shells in it. This one was so delicious minus broken shells. This restaurant also owned an ice parlor which was just a couple of yards away with an amazing choice of flavours.

The market place near by the beach had some great jewellery shops that had a lot of nice pieces to chose from.

I would definitely recommend Loret de mar as a great holiday destination.

My husband and I stayed here at the end of May-beginning of June 2012. We had an apartment on the 6th floor which was very well presented with twin beds, wardrobe, nice bathroom, small balcony, tv, table and chairs and kitchenette with all utensils and crockery etc. We got to choose whether we wanted a room at the back or front, and we went for the back having seen the reviews just before we went. Unfortunately, the block is in such a noisy location on the main clubbing street and backing onto the main roundabout and bus station (people rolling out of the clubs shouting and chanting, police whistles, traffic, etc) and the apartment block is noisy inside aswell as you can hear doors slamming and people walking up the stairs etc so we didn't get much sleep in the early hours, especially on the friday & saturday night!
All in all, nice apartments if you are there for the clubbing and in walking distance of all amenities, but not somewhere for people wanting a quiet holiday. If we went to Lloret de Mar again, we'd stay further out of town or on the beachfront, which was a much nicer area.

Room Tip: We stayed in an apartment overlooking the swimming pool of the next hotel, which was probably better...

myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in march.I think we have just gotten over our horrible experience of this place.Horrible room, horrible area(above mc donalds)and the owner was horrible. Not one good nights sleep we got.Animals where staying there with us. Roaring and shouting, slamming doors and loud music playing for hours on end.We complained the next day,the response we got was "oh there Italian what do u expect" then he left.So to round it all up,it was cheap to stay there but we would never stay again not even if it was free.

Was happy with the size fot the appartment.Roomy bathroom with a bathtub and shower, large sink.Bedroom had twin beds next to each other and decent space to hang clothes.Sitting room had large sofa on which 2 people could sleep.Small tv which only had Spanish tv,no surprise really, what with being in Spain. Kitchen had only 2 rings on which to cook,no grill/oven/toaster/kettle sadly. Nice sized balcony.
When you check in you need to go to the main hotel just a few yards away. You have to pay a 100 euro deposit on arrival and at the end of your holiday you have to clean the appartment. There are sheets and blankets to make up your bed. There is one roll of loo roll.
We had the appartment right next to the lift. The appartments are a in a great spot, near the bus station,a short walk to the beach, shops near by,lots of food places and clubs.
Sounds perfect? Great if you like to stay in a place that is full of selfish nosiey gits, who like to play music all night long, who like to sing and bang the tables, who like to shout over their balcony and whistle at women walking by... all night long. Was really awfull. WE thought we had missed the spring break. There was vomit on the staircase for over a day, both myself and my friend told the main reception about this. And also, you only get one room key between you. The other downside is,there is a hotel on the other side of the bus station where they spend a lot of time standing on their balconys yelling and shouting and the sound travels so sounds like they are just around the corner too. If it were was not for the noise it would be fine staying here. We are not old fuddlies or anything.but,we like our sleep. At night!
So ideal if you want to spend all night up and making noise. Not ideal if you like to sleep at night. Hooray for my earplugs!
It is also over McD`s and by Burger King, luckily could not smell them but there is a place up the road, which smelt lovely, all garlicy.

Room Tip: Take ear plugs if you want to sleep.

Good morning.
We have made mention of the person responsible for the apartments of his nonconformity of the apartment. Thanks to their opinions, we have introduced a microwave in the kitchen of the apartments and new channels. Bail is an issue mentioned in all our advertising. Sorry that I have not explained before
Thanks for your attention

We just got back. The only good things that I can say about this place is that the location is brilliant, near the bus station and not far from the sea front and the hotel staff were friendly, helpful, there are no staff in the apartments. The bus meeting points for transfers and trips are also on the doorstep. The place was roomy, 2 beds in a seperate bedroom and 2 beds in the lounge/kitchen with a fair size balcony. They give you a packet with a cloth and washing up liquid which, I have never got anywhere else and it was useful. There was a flatscreen tv but it only had Spanish channels. We had to go to the hotel and hand over a 100e deposit which seemed silly because I spent ages cleaning the place before leaving, I got it back ok but nobody checked the room.
The apartment was a good size, cleanish, the floor was filthy, crockery dusty, crumbs in sofa but possibly the worst state that I have ever seen a toilet brush in.
I thought that spring break was over but Lloret was full of students and so was this place. The apartment is on the main road, above macdonalds, next to burgerking and Mobys club. So it is in the busiest and noisiest place which I expected. The walls and floor are paper thin in this place so expect to hear next doors shower and talking. What we did not expect was students shouting all day and night balcony to balcony, loud music, singing, drumming and constant furniture moving, chairs scraping the floor. This only stopped between 12am and 5am when they went to the clubs. At 5am they would return and have loud parties with lots of shouting and rows. The worst morning was when they decided to ring our doorbell several times at 5am. We also had randoms ringing our bell looking for parties. I got up and complained in the hotel but nothing changed. I also complained about vomit on the stairs which had been there for a day before being cleaned. There was also spit in the lift. I am a clubber but not inconsiderate to my neighbours. On the last night, the whole place stank very strongly of dope, enough to make my eyes water. I had to stick the music channel on all the time to try and drown out the sound.
You only get 1 key per apartment so it was a pain to go out seperately. Security is not very good as teenagers having to share one key, seemed to be sat outside waiting for mates to get back and let them in. I do not know if they were residents or not and they either sneaked in after me or asked to be let in. There were also creepy people hanging around inside the building for no reason, according to my companion. We had little sleep and wasted one day in bed catching up on it.
Cooking equipment was ok, We did have a kettle for the hob which takes longer than an electric one but you rarely get a kettle at all. We only had 2 rings to cook on so could not stick a pizza in the oven. 2 rings are useless if you are trying to feed a family and we had to think carefully about what we were buying. Water pressure was ok and we always had hot water.

I cannot complain due to paying £31 via low cost hols for 5 nights but I would not suggest paying much more to stay here due to getting no sleep. Their website quoted over £200 and I would have been livid if I paid that. It would be a nightmare for families or anybody over 25. It is very basic and I do not know why it has 3 stars when you do not get any towels or loo roll (although, I begged the cleaner for some). I have stayed in better places with more facilaties ie towels, loo roll, even a pool in Lloret which were cleaner, nicer. quieter which have had less stars.
I would suggest staying somewhere on the seafront as it is deader at night, away from the clubs and I always got a good nights sleep there(see my review from last october).

This place maybe better at other times of the year when there are security/reception staff there to keep people under control and monitor who enters the building. It would be a great place for teens to meet people there own age.

Room Tip: No sea view, seems that all rooms will be noisy. Ask for the front or back as the side view is just...
