“Dissapointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

Booked a mini break for myself and my daughter last minute. Although I thought I had found a bargain, I didn't bargain for the poor service, poor food, lack of sun beds and being treated as a second class citizen!

We had booked an all inclusive deal for three nights. As previous reports we were dropped off in a public carpark and told to walk up a road to find the hotel. We were directed in the totally wrong direction, it was late at night little scary as we were two females on our own! I had to go into another Hotel to ask for directions.

Eventually finding the Hotel we thought we had entered at the back entrance only to find that it was the main reception! The male receptionist was scruffy and spoke little english. We got to the room, although dated and small it was clean, alhough our bathroom windows opened to a view of several young males in the next hotel.

The bar staff were rude and chose to serve paying customers before all inclusive guests. Also all inclusive guests were made to drink out of very small plastic glasses while other paying customers were given well presented drinks in proper glasses! It did make you feel mis treated!

The food in the restaurant was cold, even when we were first to enter the room for breakfast, lunch was the most edible meal although again the worst I have ever experienced in an all inclusive hotel. The evening meal was revolting with very greasy meat dishes, very oily pasta, very hard bread, I don't think I need to go on, you are obvoiusly getting the picture.

I was pleased that we were only there for a short time, if this was a main holiday for the family I would be very dissapointed.

I certainly will not be returning to this hotel.

On the positive side we did make friends with some other english guests, who were all I might add dismayed with the poor quality and service as all of us had taken advice from this web site before making the booking!

Hotel is located in a quieter part of Lloret de Mar, yet it is a 5 minute walk to beach, or a 10 minute walk to the strip where all the nightlife is.
If you are traveling with children/older people taxis cost around 5 euro but I would recommend walking - its so close.
I stayed with a group of friends for a week we were in our 20s. Hotel was perfect for us, I'm not sure I would recommend it for families or older couples, it can be a little noisy at night.
Rooms are basic, but clean. Aircon is not great but if u leave it on while you go out it offers some relief at night.
Request a room on higher levels with a balcony - preferably pool side. These rooms are much nicer and brighter. They seemed to be offered to older couples and families however they are very accommodating if you want to change.
Pool is deceptive in the photos, it is much smaller and there are not that many sun loungers although having said that the pool area was never over crowded. However, due to the height of the hotel only 6 or 7 sun loungers receive sun all day, I'd advise to be up early to get these. The main beach is beautiful, we spent most of our time there.
The room is supplied with clean towels everyday, there is no mini fridge so our water was constantly warm. No soap/shower gel was provided. The maids were great and hotel is spotless in the lobby area/bar etc.
Staff in reception were friendly enough, the lady was very helpful but the men didn't seem to have much English.
Safe costs 29e but you get a deposit of 10e when you leave. If you want to watch TV you have to pay 10e for the remote.
Restaurants and bars offer good food and are cheap in the surrounding area.
Would recommend this hotel to people under 30. We had a great holiday here, and would return to Lloret de Mar.

Room Tip: Request a room with a balcony over looking the poll - far nicer then the other rooms

Got to the hotel initially really good looking hotel nicely maintained pool area and spa. When we walked to the reception instantly we felt like we were putting the receptionist out very rude. For the whole week we felt no short of victimised for being English the bar staff were disgustingly rude to us and other British guest do very well to see a smile , their was the day time waitress who was lovely but the gentlemen in the evening are in the wrong job. They would walk around like prison guards chucking people of deck chairs dead on half Severn. The one dropped a glass ashtray on a guest foot it smashed cut her she didn't get an apology also the likelihood the glass went into the pool where children played but nothing was done. The cleaners did seem nice and good at their job nothing went missing which always helps. Food was vile salty cheap never had such horrible food. Again waiters were rude one day we got shouted at for walking the wrong side of the rope to the entrance where there was no sign saying this and no way of us knowing what system they had in place. This could be a very nice hotel if they replaced their bar staff with people with basic manners. Also if you are looking for a quiet holiday do not go their it is basically a 18/30 s hotel which I liked but if I was looking for a family /couple holiday I would aviod this place you won't sleep well. Hope this helps...

We arrived late at night and got dropped off at a drop off point and were told go over there and keep walking until we found the hotel which was a but scarey as we were two women on our own. Hotel reception did not give us any info other than room number and which floor to get out on. Room was very clean but very basic, air con barlely worked, cigarette hole in blanket, no remote, no fridge. The manager came across as being very ignorant as were some other staff (not all though) we got the feeling that they did not want english people there. We were not expecting miracles but did expect more. The food was disgusting unless you liked plain pasta with tomato sauce, eggs or chips. No entertainment at all. We were all inclusive, and were treat very different to people who were paying. We stayed in hotel for two nights drinking alcohol which had no effect what so ever, to say the drinks were watered down was an understatment. We did enjoy lloret but would never return to this hotel and would recomend you stay somewhere else.

Hotel - The hotel was very nice with a good sized pool, 2 jacuzzis, a steam room and sauna. The decor was nice and the room was fine with a nice bathroom. The room was cleaned every day and new towels everyday. It isn't too big like a lot of the hotels in the area which was good and meant that the pool area wasn't cramped and there were no queues for the bar and food area. The noise seemed fine to me. It can get a little loud on the street but nothing major. A lot of reviews say it's in the middle of all the bars and clubs, it isn't. They are a 5-10 min walk away which was perfect.

Staff- The staff were really nice and helpful. They helped us with directions and information about things like going to Barcelona and the water park (both are great!). The guy who seemed in charge was funny and one min would be really friendly then seem to ignore us but don't take offence by it because he is mostly friendly! Also a woman on the bar was really lovely.

All inclusive- The deal for all inclusive was too good to miss, the price was amazing. So it was unlimited drinks 12.00-12.00. Included are; lots of soft drinks such as coke, orange etc. Also a list of cocktails which are really nice! Beer, sangria and various spirits. They make the drinks strong too which I wouldn't complain about! The food was fine. Not amazing but edible. I am veggie and quite fussy and I didn't go hungry. There is always a nice salad section and fruit section anyway.

Lloret De Mar- It was beautiful weather and this is only June. There are loads of little streets full of shops and places to eat. The beach is nice but VERY stoney which put us off it. We stayed in the hotel mostly because the pool was so good. The famous 'strip' is really good. Me and 2 friends went out there every night almost and there are a range of places from small bars to bigger ones and then the clubs. We fell in love with a bar called Rockefellars which is like a small club/bar. It is free to go in and drinks are reasonable. They do 'happy hour' around 9-12 apparently but we didn't so that just because we had the all inclusive. Everything goes on much later so you can go to smaller places for a while and go to clubs really late if you want. The only downside to the place was there were a lot of strange men. As 3 young girls we obviously looked vulnerable-naive. They only said things but just be careful.

I absolutely loved the holiday. It took so long to find a hotel that seemed okay and we definitely made the right choice. It was not full of young people either like others have said which we actually liked. It was very diverse in ages and nationalities. Families seemed to really enjoy it as well as older people and people around my age (20s). Definitely do the coach trip to Barcelona if you have time. It was 19 euros return for the day. We wanted to do the bus tour there but it was 24 euros and we didn't budget for it but if we had known would have taken the money to do it. It is really good and drops you all over and it's a big place. We walked for what felt like miles which is nice because you come across all sorts but sometimes a bus ride might have been good for our feet!

Room Tip: The rooms facing the pool are probably a bit nicer just because the view is better! But we had a roo...

We stayed at the hotel in early June and it was great! Basic rooms but fab swimming pool and bar area, we were also impressed with how clean the hotel was kept; we had fresh towels everyday and the maids were great. The hotel has two hot tubs, a sauna and a steam room which are free for all hotel residents to use and feel so luxurious. The food wasn't great but we never went hungry and eating out in Lloret is really cheap so it isn't much of a problem. The only thing I would say to watch out for is in late June and July, the hotel is based in a party hot spot so beware of loud noise from drunk revelers and late night door slamming. Ignore the bad reviews, we met people who go back year in and year out, plus it's a 5 min walk from the beach!

We booked this hotel as part of a late deal. After reading the reviews below we were a little anxious about it. However, upon arrival any doubts were soon quashed. The hotel gives you a great impression from start to finish.

The Room - We had a basic room, with 3 beds, full bathroom (with bath and shower) and 2 balconies. We overlooked the road at the side and whilst there was some noise on the Saturday night, nothing too loud, just passers by, every other night we didnt hear anything much at all. Room got cleaned everyday.

Facilities - Pool, Steam room, Sauna, Jacuzzis, games room, Bar - All were clean and tidy at all times, plenty of seating around pool and bar area. WiFi is available, there are some connection issues when loads of people are on but who goes on holiday to sit on WiFi all day?!?!

Food/Drink - Food was fantastic!! Great selection of food everyday, always something that we all liked, great mix of local and international cuisine. We were all inclusive and there was a great selection of drinks included, beer, wine, cocktails, spirit & mixer, and water and wine with lunch and dinner.

Staff - always polite and helpful, majority speak Spanish, German, Russian and English. Could not do enough to help us

If/When I go backto Lloret, I'll always go back here. Great hotel, Great staff, made the holiday
