“Waste of money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

I've just come back from a horrible holiday from the aquarium. I went all inclusive because I have kids and you would have found it difficult to look for a place to eat with fussy kids. The hotel is not worth going to because the pool was really small, rooms have a t.v with no English channels except bbc 1, bathroom needs re decorating and updating, wardrobe tatty with a safe inside. You would have to pay for the safe and ask for a fridge. If you wanted towels for sun beds you would have to leave a deposite of 10€ for one towel. There was evening entertainment which was going till midnight. Don't get a room on the first floor otherwise you would hear the entertainment. The mini club would start at age 4 which was not good for me because me daughter was 3 and wanted to go. I had to change room because the one I had bugs crawling on the floor. The bed was so hard that I didn't get a good sleep. I no longer wanted to stay in the hotel. The oasis hotel and spa looked nice and was probley more friendly. I even walked past a five star hotel whilst on my way to the beach. Overall this stay was cheap and not worth it. I need another holiday to recover it was that bad.

That kind of resort is not my cup of tea,and this hotel matches the rest of the town : a big tourist place for cheap vacation...The rooms were clean, bed comfy but very noisy both from the street traffic and the neighbors moving furniture in the middle of the night.Breakfast is included but I never tasted such low quality products : ham like plastic, cheese like soap, tasteless orange juice made from powder etc..That's the way to keep prices low I guess...Indian restaurants in the vicinity are average, shopkeepers crooks..

We stayed at the Aquarium for 5 days. Rooms were lovely and cleaned every day, bedding changed every 2 days. Choice of food was excellent. Very international hotel, only heard one British accent whilst we were there. Spa is great, only thing was that children were running in and out of the spa area using it as a swimming pool, also a German family used it as there own personal area for the day! Good hotel for a short break but was ready for home after the 5 days.

Room Tip: If you are poolside you can hear the entertainment at night. We were on the street side which we li...

We stayed here to a week last October. The hotel and rooms were kept clean and the food was basic but varied each night. The indoor pool and spa area was good. We were only a five minute walk to the beach and a short walk in to the town centre. To where all the shops and restaurants were, as well as the sea front.

Just got back from a 3 night stay here. Lovely hotel, friendly staff, very clean and everything you need on the doorstep. Food was lovely, only downside they didn't have a children's station, and have a picky 2 year old was hard to feed in the evening. Particular nights were okay with chicken, pizza, nuggets typical of a 2 year old however some evenings were harder than others. We however enjoyed our meals, very much to choose, hot and plenty of it. The drinks were particularly expensive, but in the current climate we expected this. Room was lovely, basic, clean, did what it needed to do, sleep, wash, dress and out all day. Air con was a blessing, had a pool view which was nice. Pool was lovely, had many a hour playing in it. A lot of Spanish and French in the hotel but wasn't made to feel out of place once. The area was pleasant enough, glad to be out of the centre especially with a young child as summer in lloret Is very 'party central' and I can manage many a people had sleepless nights in the more central hotel. It was only a 15/20 minute walk into the centre which was fine, there were plenty of shops, squares and hidden streets to walk around. The beach was a major let down however, it was like grit, horrible to walk on, sit on. You could go in the sea half a metre before you were literally up to shoulder length in it so hardly any children were splashing in it, you just sank in the grit which was rather unpleasant. It was packed full of people however, and people making the most of what sea they could stand up in but it wasn't for us. Beaches are all about sandcastles and sand between your toes in my eyes. Enjoyed a lovely day in marineland, brilliant for the children and adults the same but take your own lunch if you don't want to spend a small fortune. The transfers were also quite disappointing as it took about 1 hr and 15 on the way there and around 2 45 on the way back. We were picked up 5 hrs prior on the way home which is long time to be sat on a bus and in th airport with a small child. Tip: spend the extra money for a taxi. We really wished we had. Understandably there were a lot of pick up and drop offs but 2 hr 45!! The route that was taken was ridiculous, 1 hr out of lloret to come back through lloret to get to the airport! Could have had an extra hour and a half in bed! Overall though, lovely short break. Lovely hotel. Couldn't fault the hotel! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Booked this hotel for a very good price, almost too good to be true in fact! The bus ride was a bit of a nightmare, you didn't actually get dropped off outside you had to walk a short distance, this wasn't a problem as we were in a couple however might be a problem for a big family with lots of luggage, not that this was anything to do with the hotel its self. Upon arrival we had a nice check in, very quick, it was lucky we had been held up slightly on the transfer as rooms are not ready until 3 o clock. No fridge in the room unless you want to pay extra, on this occasion we decided to skip that but this was not a major issue. Lovely pool area, two choices of bars and a lovely free spa! Now, the important bit for me, the food! I am quite a picky eater and I must say I ate brilliantly! Lots of meat, salads, vegetables, fish, brilliant puddings, the works! Free cava every other night, too. Breakfast is always my favorite, lots of pastries, cereals, beans, toast, bacon, pancakes etc. etc. Only had sausages one day we were there, which were tiny frankfurters a shame because I was looking forward to my sausage and beans but plenty of other food anyhow!
Rooms nice and clean, maids came every day, unless you didn't want them to in which case there was a sign for that.
Overall brilliant stay, lovely food, helpful staff & great value!

We stayed at the aquarium during the spring bank holiday. The staff were, as ever, helpful and welcoming from day one. The receptionist was especially apologetic after informing us of the new Spanish tourism tax which we had to pay along with our weekly safe hire. It wasn't a lot of money but I guess it something we are all going have to get used to paying!
The food in the hotel was good, always something to suit every taste with the chef cooking specials every evening. If you wished to eat out in the evening for a change it was no problem to swop evening meal for lunch; just go to reception and they will give you a voucher for lunch.
The rooms are cleaned daily without fail. I would say that rooms just off the reception atrium can be a little noisy with noise from evening entertainment which finishes at midnight. As we have commented on previously, the beds are very hard, but this is typical of Spanish hotels.
I had asked for a pool view when we booked, 5 months prior, but we did not get one. In fact, we have never had a pool view in 4 visits to the aquarium.
Despite these minor quibbles, we still feel this hotel is great value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, but don't get your hopes up!!

Dear guest,
We are thrilled that you enjoyed staying with us, that the service of our team was up to your expectations and that you enjoyed our varied dining facilities. I apologize for the inconvenience of the pool view but sometimes it is difficult to give pool views to all our clients due to the limited rooms that we have with this characteristics. Hopefully on your next visit you will have your desired room. Best regards,
