“Wonderful, yet again”

This is our second time at Snowbird Mountain Lodge and we can't wait to go again and again. The food is outstanding, the service is remarkable and the attention to detail is out of this world. The views will leave you speechless. We absolutley love the huge fireplace in the library with the panoramic view of the mountains. This time we were able to hike one of the many trails of the fabulous Cherohala Skyway bringing along a terrific picnic lunch provided by Snowbird Lodge.

Just what we needed. Excellent food, peaceful and beautiful surroundings, plenty of activity if you want. Incredible value for the amenities. We hiked the property which has incredible viewing points for sunrise and sunset and took advantage of both. We also visited nearby Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Next visit we will check out the water sports. Our stay could only be one night and we were ready to relax at the lodge. There are hammocks, rocking chairs,a huge fireplace, and extensive library. We could not have asked for more.

My wife and I just spent 2 nights at Snowbird Mountain Lodge and we have nothing but praise for it. The scenery was beautiful, accommodations comfortable, service friendly and efficient, and the food was absolutely first rate- some of the best food we've ever eaten. The bird watching was good too! We definitely want to go back some time.

We stayed 3 nights in the main lodge at this beautiful historic mountain inn. The Inn and the surrounding grounds are beautifully maintained in keeping with its natural setting. The views are amazing and the best room is the huge library/sitting area with a large wood burning fireplace, comfortable sofas and chairs and a fantastic selection of reading material. There are no TVs but they have excellent wireless connections throughout the Inn and iPads for guests to check out for the duration of their stay. Due to the historic nature of the building the rooms in the main lodge are smallish but with very comfortable king beds and the attached bathrooms are adequate. The meals were delicious and there was enough variety to please most people. I highly recommend it and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: For those looking for more modern/private rooms Chestnut Lodge may be more suitable.

My husband and I returned to Snowbird Lodge this week for a midweek "mountain fix". We were blessed with absolutely perfect weather: warm, sunny days and cool nights. We were greeted each morning with a view from our private deck of the mountains in the distance and a fog covered valley. It was mesmerizing to watch the colors of the mountains change as the sun began to rise. Just a spectacular way to start our days.

We had stayed at Snowbird several years ago before the newer rooms were added, so we chose to have a room in the Chestnut Lodge area. I'm glad we did. The room is very spacious and has lovely furniture. Quality paintings adorned the walls. The bath was huge!! and had a spa tub and fully enclosed shower. The view from the bath was spectacular. But our favorite place was our private deck which included a hot tub. We loved the view and the ambiance of just the two of us and our private space.

The food is good, and there are several choices for all meals. The main lodge contains the dinning room and a common area with fireplace and lots of books. It is a very comfortable area, but we didn't spend much time there because the weather was so perfect for outdoor time.

I wish I could give the B&B a 5 star rating, but. The hospitality was not at the level that I had expected. I never met the owner. The staff people which greeted us each time we entered the lodge were well trained, but no one made much effort to engage us in conversation. I'm sure there were interesting guests there, but we did not meet any of them except while hiking on of the trails in the area. I wish it had been a bit more social.

But we plan to return next spring. It really is lovely.

Room Tip: We think the rooms in the Chestnut Lodge are worth the premium price.

We recently enjoyed a family gathering at the Snowbird Lodge, and it was even better than expected. The rooms were lovely and clean, meals were generous and well prepared, and the setting was very restful. We took advantage of the nearby lake and canoes, as well as hikes and some time just rocking in the rocking chairs. I would highly recommend the Snowbird.

My wife and I came for our 17th anniversery and Snowbird didn't dissapoint. I could have browsed through the library overlooking the mountains for hours. Every other person that we met while staying there were repeat visitors with one gentleman back for his 20th time. The food was great and the selection fantastic. Can't wait to go back!
