“Superior in every aspect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

This place has great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. There is so much to chose from and the waiters go out of their way to meet your every need. It's a little pricey but well worth the extra dollars for special outings or group celebrations. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed!

“Somewhat a tourist trap but still good food...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Lots of tourist marketing going on..... but food is still good. Don't go on a NC State football weekend.....can be very crowded....

Steaks are good and food and service is very consistent... good value for food and service provided.

“Angus Barn> Still a great Place !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

Well what can you say, its simply a great place to go once in a while. Excellent Chateau Briand ! we like to go to the Wild Turkey Lounge and hang out in comfort, with great service, strong cocktails, and the signature crocked cheeses and knoshes. The atmosphere of course is part of what you pay for, and it is singularly unique and has been built upon since 1958. It is a destination restaurant. The wine list itself is a pure treasure, and the preparation of food is highest quality. The prices reflect these circumstances, but you don't have to always pay a fortune. Hit The Wild Turkey Lounge, have some nice wine or beverages and some appetizers and enjoy, you will be glad you did ! And if you want a great meal and don't mind the splurge on price (its still a value for what you get) order dinner...you don't have to go to the dining room for excellence. They have a cigar room for after dinner that is well appointed also. They also offer a spectacular pavilion for large parties and events (its amazingly beautiful setting and beautifully appointed, you have to see it to believe it). A lasting legacy in the Triangle area and rightly famous all over the world. Mr. Thad, God rest his soul would continue to be proud indeed. Bravo Mz. Van !

“Great venue, exceptional service, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Staff did a great job with a large group(20+). Neat venue. For the price and the hype the steak was below par. Properly cooked just not a good piece of meat. Lobster tail was actually very good. For the price cannot recommend. Food over all just was not that good, this was the majority opinion of our group.

“Angus Barn”

The steaks are excellent. Great wine list. SO much food and a cake for our anniversary. It is pricey, so we usually reserve the Angus Barn for special occasions The Wild Turkey Lounge upstairs is also nice. Make reservations!
