“Ridiculously Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

I have only eaten here twice and I was lucky enough to have those occasions be in December. What a great Christmas atmosphere. I wish this restaurant was in my town.

“Excellent steaks and atmosphere ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Succulent steaks, excellent atmosphere and good selection of wines. I travel to Raleigh 4 times a year and ALWAYS make it a priority to have a dinner here. Little side secret - ask about the "meat locker" for a place to have a glass of wine and a cigar - or - the fire pit area outside for a glass of wine and cigar as well.

Great for business entertainment or a romantic date. If solo - ask about eating in then"Wild Turkey Bar". They even have some cheese and crackers to nibble on prior to ordering and or over a drink. Cheers!

“Christmas-Birthday Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

This was our first visit here... And I cannot imagine visiting at another time other than Christmas because it really was that grand!! The food of course was excellent, but it was all the little details of the place. The decorations were superb, elves running around, the upside-down tree, passing out homemade gingerbread cookies as you leave, free apples to take home, and to celebrate my middle daughters birthday they brought out a whole pound cake that she decorated the top and exactly 8 candles!! It was perfect! The kid meals are all $11 and that comes with a nice take home cup, salad, meal 2 sides and ice cream! Out server took the girls to the kitchen to make their own sundaes... It was truly awesome!!

“High priced but good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

Hubby and I had another excellent meal at Angus Barn. No special occasion but we were in the area to fly out of Raleigh to Chicago for Thanksgiving. The steaks are hugh and very, very tender. The sides are big and tasty. We left completely satisified and full. Next time we're in the area, we will eat there again. We were seated in the back of the place and it was a bit crowded. No problem hearing other people talk! With tip the bill came to almost $100 so don't go there if you're on a tight budget!

“Great Food and Unique Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

The food was excellent. We ordered many varieties of steak, seafood, and chicken dishes and all were excellent. We requested a tour after we ate and were able to see the kitchen, huge wine vaults and also learn the history of the restaurant. They have a large collection of antique guns and pictures of many famous people that have been to the restaurant. It is pricey, so be prepared for a large bill.
