This refreshing restaurant in Raleigh is a favorite of my fiends and now a favorite of mine. We recently went there for pre-theatre dinner and ordered an array of different food that is representative of the restaurant's creative, well balanced cuisine. And for the right price too. There were two specials the week were there: a vegetarian three-course dinner for $20 and a regular menu including meat for $30 (appetizer, main course and dessert). I had a wonderful sweet pepper soup that had a touch of spicy hot pepper, and along the same line, an excellent "chile relleno" with rice and beans. My friends had an delightful goat cheese and greens salad (I tried that too), the salmon, and the NC trout. For those who no longer can or want to eat full portions, the restaurant offers the small plate menu. All menu choices offer rich, varied and carefully selected vegetarian options. This restaurant has the main features of a place I will go back to and recommend to my friends: varied and tasty food, good prices, and very good service. On selected days there are live groups performing at Irregardless.
