We were literally the first ones in the restauarant this morning. While we were waiting for our things to be finished up at the jewelry store, my wife suggested that we just eat lunch at the mall. I wasn't particularly pleased with the idea but I went along with it. Assuming we were heading to the food court upstairs, instead, my wife diverted me to this place. Glad she did. The food was excellent.
We ordered the eggplant rollatini. The presentation was a bit underwhelming but that was made up for with the flavor of the ricotta and the freshness of the tomato sauce and the eggplant. We then orderd the traditional pie and the meatballs and ricotta pie. I always think that the best way to test a pizza joint is with a cheese pizza. They can one-up that here. The traditional has no mozzarella cheese on it. This just their fresh chunky tomato sauce and sliced basil on their dough. You can also taste just a hint of the olive oil and parmesan. It is so delicate and fresh. I would order another one right now if I was still there! The meatballs and ricotta is a world different - it is heavier and chewier with the mozarella and good quality ricotta. No complaints on the food.
The atmosphere it clean and fresh. There is a bright red fiat in the middle of the floor, an extensive bar set up (and menu), and an impressive italian imported pizza oven in the corner. Great location in the mall and even open till Midnight every day. I think we will be looking to catch some late night pizza here!
Worth a try! Stick to the pizza.
