“Excellent stay, great service, clean and new.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Had a great experience at this Hampton Inn. Check in was easy. Parking was easy even with a surburban. Room was spacious, very clean, comfy bed & sheets & towels, great decor, comfortable, appointed well with flat screen, microwave, fridge, toiletries, good internet service with NO complaints. All areas such as hall, elevator, entrance, breakfast area in good clean order. Staff was super nice. Everyone we encountered spoke. Front desk called for us a cab to take to our event & when over we called hotel, asked them to send a cab for us & they did. Much faster than calling ourselves. Felt safe in the downtown area. A few restaurants within walking distance. Mellow Mushroom was great, give it a try. I would def recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the downtown area, you will not be dissapointed. Price was great too as well as breakfast. Great service. I am very picky about where I stay and give this a 10

Super clean EVERYTHING and trendy deco throughout the property make this spot a top pic for me. Several great bars and restaurants within a block or two just adds to the value, and only 6 bucks to park! You will love it.

We stayed there for one night and enjoyed it. We were driving along the east coast and were looking for place in Raleigh. It was the evening of the Super Bowl and we were very lucky that we could watch the game just around the corner in a restaurant called Mo Joes. Had some good food enjoyed our beers and had a good time. The hotel's parking lot is just across the street and many bars are located around the corner.

Everything about this Hampton Inn was as it should be. The rooms were clean, the lobby was welcoming and modern and the breakfast was the typical Hampton breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance. The parking is across a two lane road in a parking deck. Our room had a view of the old train tracks and the dumpster, which was not lovely, but we were in a downtown location.
Overall, I would recomend this hotel for an overnight stay.

Was in Raleigh recently and decided to stay Downtown. I knew that the Glenwood South district was a good spot for night life so the location of this hotel is perfect.
Upon arriving, Brittany was great with speeding along checking in. She explained the parking procedures (garage across street), and the need to have your hotel key with you when you entered/exited the garage. The room was very cozy and nice.
After getting settled in the room, I went back down to the desk to ask Brittany about places to eat. She provided a coupon for a place a few doors down, and had a container full of menus for surrounding places.

The only downfall of the hotel, if you can find one, is it's proximity to the railroad tracks. The trains do come through there; however, in the bathroom is a set of earplugs if this is a problem for you.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, you may want to request a room as far away from the railroad tracks a...

Have been 3 times and I look forward to next stay. Staff is very friendly, love views of the city. Rooms are cozy yet roomy. Fridge and micro in every rm is a bonus. Overlooking train tracks is my favorite. Walk to variety of delicious restaurants.
They offer a nice selection of free breakfast items. Decor is funky. 1 block walk to R line (free bus)

Room Tip: enjoy back rooms overlooking train track

I have been here recently ,when i visited Raleigh . The location of the hotel is awesome. The Breakfast buffet was good . The rooms are comfy . They have a swimming pool inside and it suites best during winter . It can be best for kids and not for adults who wishes to swim regularly as the size is very small. Also the water is chlorinated and i felt irritation in eyes and on skin.
The Gym looks good though i have not used. I was disappointed when i did not found fox soccer on the TV when not available to watch EPL . Otherwise my stay was good. i would like to appreciate the staff in the reception on sunday morning(10 Feb) who was kind of and was very helpful. I just ask him helping with other customer as well.
