We went to this restaurant for the first time last night. Our impression our the following:
1. We had 7:30 reservations arrived a little early got seated on time.
2. Service no problem
3. Interior design was funky and cool
4. Meal medicore at best. I ordered the Carne
Flour tortilla / grilled steak / cheese /pico de gallo / avocado
The meat was tender, but very bland. I had to add salsa to get any flavor. I ordered the Tortilla Soup. The soup had very little broth or vegetables. When the bowl was half done all that was left can only be described as chicken mush. Cannot even come close to the soup at Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in downtown Wake Forest. That soup is loaded with vegetables, chicken, and plenty of broth.
My wife ordered the Chicken Fajitas which was no better or worse than any other Mexican restaurant we have visited. The chicken came sliced in large pieces instead of small pieces that work better with the flour tortilla Her dish did not even come with rice or beans that was an extra.
5. Our impression was that this is a young crowd whose popularity hinges on the booze.
