Our first interaction with Relish left a lot to be desired. Cold food and poor service.
This time everything was better. We went for the pimento cheese fritters, tried the Andouille sausage "Cajun" mac and cheese, the Wisconsin grilled cheese (apple, sharp cheddar, and bacon), and the banana pudding in a mason jar. Only real complaint is that the grilled cheese was way to skimpy. The bread to toppings ratio was far too low. Not sure if I would give the grilled cheeses another try to be honest. These need a bit of extra work or maybe just an extra slice of cheese would help.
The mac and cheese was good. The sausage added quite a bit of flavor. The mac and cheese was very creamy and smooth. Lastly, we took a try on the chicken pot pie with the sweet potato biscuits. They were rock solid. The pimento cheese fritters were good and the banana pudding was excellent. Much better this time!
I do like the concept of this place being that it's all comfort foods. The food was enjoyable and the service was slow in getting started but definitely improved as the night went on. It's worth a visit.
