This was my 4th stay at the property. As with any new buildings there are always a few minor problems. During this trip the heat went out on my 2nd night. Since it was late at night there were no maintenace crew on property so the night manager offered to move me. I am staying there again this week, so let's see how that goes.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites RDU/Brier Creek in Raleigh, NC, November of this year (2010). We thought it was a Courtyard. The food was great! The rooms were great! The staff was great! If we are ever back in Raleigh again, we will be staying at this hotel, if there are rooms available.

I love a hot breakfast. The variety is great. During my stay they had live music, beer, wine and soft drinks on Tuesday, Red Robin appetizers, beer, wine, soft drinks on Wednesday, and warm milk and cookies on Thursday. My heat quit (it was in the 20's outside). It was taken care of immediately. I'm always in a hurry in the mornings and leave my stuff all over the counter. Housekeeping straightens if for me making me feel like I have my own special service. I stayed in a suite. I loved the arrangement. The furniture was functional and comfortable. The bed slept great.
I wasnt her to shop but you couldnt ask for a better area to be for great shopping and dining experiences

I traveled extensively for 30 years. This hotel's rooms are the best value for the money.
Large bathroom counters, great sitting room, and 2 large LCD's.
The best part, lights everywhere for reading.
Do not miss this value.
Complete breakfast is a bonus.
The staff will please you and take care of all your needs.

Pros: New hotel with very attractive modern decor. Better than average breakfast with healthy choices of fresh fruit and oatmeal along with the other standard breakfast fare. Nice sized rooms. Mattress, pillows average. Very clean.
Cons: Our heat didn't work - just blasted ice cold air - it was in the 20's outside. At 12:30 AM, we were told by the front desk that no one was available to assist us. There were no blankets to be given out. To our amazement , we finally reset the digital thermostat by flipping it on and off multiple times, yes, I was pretty peeved at this point. It was evident from the burning smell from the unit that it had never been used before.
The bathroom is large and has nice tile and granite, but has the sink inside the room with the tub, so once it's fogged up, and there is no exhaust fan to turn on - the mirror is useless. The only mirror in the bed area is a small one hung on the wall with no furniture under it, and the only electrical outlet is behind a microwave/mini frig unit which made it pretty darned hard to get to.
Back to the beds - the only blanket is very thin. If we'd had heat it would have been more of a disappointment than a problem, but as there wasn't, it only added to the misery.
The microwave/mini frig unit is poorly placed. It makes watching TV from the first bed awkward.
Marriotts are usually pretty nice. We stay at them all the time, so we're especially disappointed in this one. In compensation, they sent us a form letter of apology and a worthless 1,000 reward points (you need about 20,000 for a free night). Wow.

This is a brand new property near RDU and is convenient to most of Raleigh as it's near I540. Very friendly staff and decent fitness facility. Free breakfast was quite good with lots of choices. I've stayed here twice and will again.

Just returned from a great four day / three night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites RDU/Brier Creek - great value for a clean room. The staff throughout the visit provided excellent service and as some that travels monthly, this is a great property overall. Close to good eating spots, the airport, shopping, etc - and surrounded by peace and quiet.
