“Outstanding museum for kids and adults”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

A real gem for museum enthusiasts is found in downtown Raleigh. A historic Natural History Museum has been reborn and developed into one of the outstanding regional muselms in the US. Don't miss it if you are in central North Carolina and appreciate science and museums, you will not regret taking a day (or more) to explore the museum and the adjacent Nature Research Center. From ancient dinosaurs to tomorrows space exploration the NC Museum of Natural Science fascinates both children and adults. Smaller than the Smithsonian, the NC Museum has top notch engaging exhibits to fascinate all ages.
Don't miss it if you are in the area!

“Great place for kids/adults”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This is a world-class museum and does a great job of detailing North Carolina's flora and fuana from Mountains to the Sea. The older part of the museum is showing it's age, but still packs a punch. I'd recommend breakfast at Big Ed's, a tour of the Capitol, and then a trip ot the Science and History museums.

“Don't miss!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

When I first moved to Raleigh, I made a point to visit all the touristy spots. This was definitely one of my favorites :) As an adult, I still spent hours there enjoying the exhibits with my husband. It's not crowded in the mornings during the week, so I would recommend going during that time if you can.

“Very Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

This museum is the only natural sciences museum in raleigh but it is very good for the value. I was going to go to Exploris but I wanted to go to a more cost effective museum. I was not disappointed and I have had a great time in this museum. I can't wait to go back again some time, I have went many times as a child and I will continue to go.
