“If you end up in Raleigh, go there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Nice hotel, huge rooms, small bathrooms. TV is great (at least 47 inches). Our fridge was very noisy, so we had to turn it off. Staff is very friendly and attentive. It's a little adventurous to leave something in their safe. Breakfast is really great, actually one of the best we ever had in a hotel like this (in terms of pricing).

Room Tip: Make sure not to get a room on the ground floor. We could hear a constant humming noise and some mus...

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night and no complaints about the hotel. Room was large, comfortable and clean and if you have been in a Hyatt Place before, you know what to expect. There was a Caribbean restaurant across from the car park and a few fast food restaurants within very close proximity if that is your thing. The breakfast offered both continental and hot options and was good enough to start the day.

Only negative comment... It would be nice if the staff pretended they like their jobs.It didn't apply to all of them but some looked "positively glum", you work in hospitality, make your guests feel welcome. I would still recommend this hotel if you are in Raleigh.

This is one of the best hotels in Raleigh for State rate customers for the convenience to downtown. The rooms are large, clean and safe. There is a work area separate from the bed area. Staff at the Hyatt are excellent. The free breakfast is not your ordinary contentential breakfast., It is hearty and healthy. The rooms are up to date with 42" flat screen high denifition TV's and they have free WiFi. I have been staying at this hotel for more than 10 years while on business in Raleigh.

Room Tip: Lower rooms are more convenient. Don't stay on the first floor towards the kitchen if you wnt t...

Dirty grout, mildew in the shower, sporatic maid service. My white socks were black from the dirt on the floors. Did not have a good stay. Wanted to check out after the first night. I was not pleased and if not for 3 consultants staying there, we would have checked out. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Plumbing exposed in the bathroom and the kitchen area. not pleasant to look at. Maids dont know how to clean a bathroom floor.

Room Tip: dont get there after midnight and dont eat breakfast there. go across the street and eat at dennys.

We are truly disappointed that your stay was not as comfortable as we intended. We share your belief that cleanliness is a more than reasonable expectation. As I shared with you, we have recently hired a new Executive Housekeeper and her and our aim is to maintain a hotel where our cleanliness stands out as much as our other positive attributes. Given our success in the past in improving both the levels of service and product here, I am certain we will achieve that goal.

Again, I regret that we failed to more completely host you during your visit.

Sincerely,
Brian McGhee

Had a great stay here. The room itself was large, clean and modern. However, the bathroom was very tiny and out of date. It was strange because the room was so nice! Pool is very small. Once in a while a plane would fly overhead but no big deal--it is to be expected considering the location.

Make note: the hotel says it has room service on their website but it does not. Luckily, the staff was great and they made me food down at the bar and had it ready for me to pick up and bring back to my room.

Overall, a fine stay and I would book here again.

I have stayed at this site many times. The king bed rooms that I have stayed in have a couch sitting area somewhat divided off from the bed, and a work area. My one complaint is that I will often work while watching TV, but the TV doesn't turn to face the work area. Not a big deal since they have wifi, so you can work from the couch. Nice flat screen TV in the room. I noticed the last time that the furniture is starting to show a little wear, this site was probably last remodeled about 6-7 years ago when it was changed to a Hyatt Place. Overall it is a great price for a great room, and they keep it very clean. Pretty convenient, since there is a restaurant in the same parking lot, and probably 15 minutes to crabtree area with lots of dining choices.

I travel frequently for work and I love staying at Hyatt Places. The rooms are nice with the dividing wall because it kind of separates the sleeping area from the living space. The bed was very comfortable and the 42 inch flat screen TV swivels so you can watch it from the bed or the couch. The only thing I didn't really like was the shower and toilet area was pretty small. You had to close the door to use the toilet, but it wasn't a terrible thing.

I love that they allow you to take a cocktail up to your room. You can also order food from the bar and take that up to your room as well. I only had the breakfast one day I was there, but it was pretty good. They have some newer items so that was nice.

This was a good location to where I was working. I don't know how far it is from the downtown area because I didn't have a chance to go there. It is only about 25-30 minutes from the Raleigh/Durham airport, which was very nice. I would stay here again if I am back in the Raleigh area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator on a higher floor.
