“Enjoyed the stay”

The hotel is strategically located. We stayed in two different rooms on two different nights. In both rooms the carpets were wet near the A/C unit. One room had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, even though we asked for non smoking Nevertheless, we liked the hotel and staff, and would return.

Passing through Brevard, NC you might miss the Hampton on the Hill. It provides a restful stay with restaurants, shopping, and beautiful scenery nearby. The shopping area at the foot of the hill provided access to any travel needs. The front desk provided an excellent suggestion for dinner and was extremely helpful in helping me with my Internet access.

I was very pleasantly surprised at all of the upgrades at this hotel. The furniture in the room was new, and the breakfast was a lot nicer than it had been in the past. Plus, even though my room was across from the elevator it was very quiet. Nice job!

The Hampton Inn is built into the hillside at the foot of the mountains in Pisgah. We were leary of staying because we've never heard of Pisgah, but were vacationing over the July 4th week and wanted to be close to Cherokee.

As with all Hamptons, breakfast was adequate and the dining room was clean with food available even during breakfast rush. Hotel staff working the dining room were friendly and helpful.

Our room was large and clean with comfortable beds, a coffee pot, a mini-fridge with plenty of space for storing our leftovers.

We were able to use the Hampton as a base for our forest hikes and always enjoyed coming back to the room.

Room Tip: We were more interested in being out in the forest than which views the rooms had, but we've yet...

My husband and I stayed here when we attended the "Prairie Home Companion" road tour at the Brevard Music Festival. We often stay at Hampton Inns, and this one claims to be the official hotel of the Festival, which is about four miles away. The gentleman who checked us in was apparently in training, and although he was very pleasant, he had trouble with the process. As another reviewer says, the place needs updating. The room was clean, and the beds were fine, but when the air conditioner cycled on and off it sounded as if there was a Harley in our room. The breakfast room is dreary and crowded. The buffet is the usual Hampton Inn fare, with cereal, fruit, muffins, a waffle maker, etc. but instead of steam tables, there were refrigerated packets of French toast, a chicken patty on a bun, or scrambled eggs on a bagel that had to be microwaved. Somebody needs to inspect the place that produces these delicacies, because I found a long black hair that had been cooked right into my scrambled eggs. Since I have short white hair it was definitely not mine! At least the coffee was good, as usual.

Room Tip: Try for a room at the back so you don't overlook the WalMart in the shopping center below.

This is a nice clean hotel in a great little town! Although in town on business, it was a great stay. We were able to use the pool which was very nice. The hotel staff was observed being helpful to families there to enjoy the wonderful mountain attractions, waterfalls, etc. I would recommend this hotel as for the price it is just perfect.

This Hampton is a typical a chain hotel with nothing particularly outstanding. Rather expensive if you're a single business traveler. For first time visitors, finding the entry drive is a challenge weaving through the likes of an adjacent Taco Bell and Wal Mart. But once you find it, it is pleasantly nestled in a forest setting. Parking is convenient; staff is not rude. Breakfast is minimalist nuked package variety. It's OK but not to write home about.
