“Best bar in Pinehurst, average food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

Pinecrest Inn definately has the best bar in the Sandhills. Small but really efficient, pouring good drinks at reasonable prices. Had dinner last week. For the positives, the relish tray is great, as well as the Pork Chop. The ribs were dry and overcooked, like they were sitting around and then reheated. The spaghetti was ok w/ large portion but to much cheese. Rose our waitress was great and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. If you haven't been to the Pinecrest Inn, definately go for drinks (or breakfast) but for "foodies" go somewhere else for that special meal.

“Best Club Sandwich on the East Coast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Great destination for golf history. I don't know how they make the club sandwich so good, but it's REALLY good! Wings are good to. The "Chop" is a must. Kinda like the egg salad at Augusta. People in the know, know.

“Baby back ribs a must”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Met Chef Sanders while at Pinecrest for a drink. My buddy and I had a sample of the baby back ribs and we have to go back for more.

“Good dinner, reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

I'm here playing golf with my wife and 3 other couples and had dinner at the Pinecrest Inn. It is a quaint restaurant in a great setting with good food. Everyone's meal was done well and the service was very attentive. The ribs were a favorite and my steak was done just how I ordered it. Portions were just what we expected and everyone left happy. The restaurant was almost full but you never felt crowded. I would recommend the Pinecrest Inn for a meal after a round of golf.

“good, think the boys and golf buffs enjoyed it more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

We heard this place was legendary and visited for lunch, the bar was stacked with older men and locals, we had a good time watching them drink and enjoy themselves. :)
Not sure why our husbands thought it was so famous. decent enough place, lots of pictures, maybe I just missed the 'history' of it all. but we'd go back!
