“4th time here, great as always.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

We love staying here, laid back, old school, great food. Service is great, the bar is where all the locals hang out and it is in the heart of Pinehurst. We always visit here if we are going to Pinehurst!

My golf group just finished our 26th annual trip to the Pinehurst-area and the trip is never complete unless we at least stop in at the bar for a few (?) adult beverages at The Pine Crest Inn. On Saturday, 04/28/2012 - our group of eight golfers held our "finale/awards dinner" there. We had dinner reservations for 8PM - but experienced a bit of a mix-up when our table was accidentally given to another group of eight golfers. The Resident Manager - Drew Gross - apologized for the mix up - and provided a complimentary round of drinks for my group. Of course a little alcohol always helps with an unplanned delay! When finally seated - Mr. Gross also provided two bottles of wine. Our dinner and service was excellent as usual. Thanks again...Drew.

NOTE - If you go to Pinehurst - you simply MUST go to The Pine Crest Inn.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. The Inn is old and nothing has been updated but that's the charm of the place. Breakfasts were good and we only had dinner one evening and it was so- so. The rooms are old and definitely could use an upgrade as could the bathrooms but we were comfortable and will definitely return. The bar is a great place and the staff are wonderful and helpful and friendly - this old place has a charm that's hard to describe.

Excellent customer service, help with tee times and discounts. Rooms were clean and comfortable, 2 blocks from shops, and 2 blocks from Carolina Hotel. Good restaurant and fun bar.

Beautiful locations, loads of charm, but for golfers ONLY. Beware of going as a non-golfer as I think you (and your wife) will be overwhelmed. As a golfer (in a group) I found it wonderful and will return

In good location for group of golfers but wouldn't stay here with wife.
Fun (but noisy), good central location.
Older hotel with charm but not a lot of frills.
Rooms are average, beds can be small (single) depending on room.
All rooms come with breakfast and dinner.
Food was good and service fast.
Lots of cigar smoking and drinking at night.
Lots of locals come here.

Room Tip: Ask what size beds they are giving you. All rooms are different.

Friend and I went to play golf in Pinehurst. We signed up for the "stimulus package" special for 4 days/ 3 nights where twin share room, breakfast, dinner, round of golf and all taxes and charges was $111 per person. The room was a bit old but had character and was a comfortable size for 2 big guys. The food servings were very filling and delicious. Choice of 3 golf courses (Firefox and Southern Pines were much better). Staff were very friendly and I would definitely go back if I had a chance (not likely any time soon unfortunately as I live in Asia).
