“Best Greek Tradition !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Hotel Artemon is a charming Greek Hotel with a long tradition in hospitality.
The location of the hotel is perfect for excursions all over the island. the bus-terminal Artemona is only 100m distant and gives you the facility of carfree easygoing holidays.
The lovely grapes entwined shady veranda on the backside of the hotel is a marvelous place to enjoy the wonderful traditional Greek cuisine of hotelier Stamatis and his family !!
Hotel Artemon is the best place for straightforwardly and relaxing holidays !

Apart from the location (center of Artemonas near Appolonia) the hotel is 80s style with awful service and minimum comforts. The owners are very impolite and cannot communicate with them.thank you is a word they don't know

The hotel is in a place with a lot of noise, as it is on the main road (!!). The receptionist was absent all the time. Sometimes there was an old lady in the office. Very bad service. The WC of the room was disgusting (there wasn't airflow at all).

Haven't stayed at this hotel. However, I eat here with my family whenever we are in Sifnos. It is a really lovely place. Normally quiet. Despite what its website claims, it is a short walk from the centre of town, but not too far. Secluded, pleasant dining on a paved area at the back of the restaurant among some trees. The chef-last time we ate here-spoke some English, just a little. I think he had spent some time in the UK some years previously, as I recall. He was helpful and a good cook. This is a traditional place-I suspect that is why it is quiet whenever we have been there. That and the fact that it is inland. It had a fifties feel to it and having looked at their website I think it still has. Nice place. Hope this is helpful.
