“A Bit of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

As a family researcher, this is interesting site to visit. It's well kept which pleases me to see! As part of Ocracoke's history, you can find some interesting stories if you research the family names!

“Somewhat Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This was a really pretty spot but not really anything explaining what it really meant. Thought there might be more there but really was just a graveyard.

“Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Every year we ride our bikes to the British Cemetery. It is a small place dedicated to the British soldiers who lost their lives during war time. Adjacent to the British Cemetery, are some older burial headstones of island folks which are interesting. A visit here only takes a few minutes.

“It's a historic & interesting place to stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

The small historic cemetery is a must see on a tour of the island. The British government has leased the land in which their soldiers of WWII are buried on. Their ship was working with our navy when they were torpedoed and everyone on board killed.

“Interesting story”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

This is a neat place to come and learn about some of the varied WWII history of Ocracoke. It is very well-maintained and has a moving story. Totally free.
