“Gourmet local seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Very deliciously prepared yellow fin tuna and bluefish and homemade warmed fig cake...excellent service and reasonably priced. The menu, décor and atmosphere were inviting and comfortable. My visit occurred during a very relaxed vacation in October 2013. Please don't miss this treat of a meal.

“Always a great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

We visited Dajio in May 2012 and loved it. We are staying on Ocracoke this week and ate at Dajio twice today! Great food! We love the calmari, happy hour shrimp, seafood omelette, and shrimp and grits! Cant wait to try more!

“Pretty inside and out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We arrived at 5 and because it was breezy decided to eat inside. Very pretty with lots of windows and candles. All of the servers were very friendly! Our server was Desiree. She was very good . She explained the menu and specials. Food was served promptly and we were not rushed. I had the Crab Mac and Cheese. It had large pieces of crab and a creamy sauce. My husband had tempura fried flounder with asparagus and mixed potatoes. Sweet tea was perfect...not real sweet. Do have dessert! The chocolate peanut butter pie and the warm apple cake with carmel frosting were excellent.

“Roast chicken and cheese grits! Say no more!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Dajio is affiliated with folks from my home state, Kentucky (Lexington), so my husband and I were especially interested in a meal here (We stayed nearly right next door at the cottage in the back of Carol Pahl's restoration/stained glass gift shop).

If you are considering, I recommend it! I especially enjoyed the chicken and cheese grits entree with mushrooms. The spicy cornbread that came with the meal were great too. The patio is beautiful, and has always been a special place on Ocracoke, but with the attention and clean up, the entire restaurant is really lovely. We also enjoyed dessert alone one night, and that was also super good.

“Excellent food, staff and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We ate here twice for breakfast and twice for dinner and was very pleased with the food and service. A nice quite cozy restaurant anytime of the day. Inside and outside tables were available if the weather permits. The staff was very friendly and the Red Snapper I ordered was excellent. This was our favorite place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
