“Don't bother!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Worst hot dog I've ever eaten - mushy meat boiled dog, water logged bun, practically inedible. Order chili cheese with onions. Chili is the common kind used in this area but not what I would call chili & the cheese was like melted Cheez Whiz poured on top. Go to Beaches instead where at least the hot dogs are grilled!

“Possibly the best biscuit ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013 via mobile

We have a place down here and have been coming to the Dawg House for breakfast for years. This place is a classic greasy spoon breakfast with a few southern twists...and yes one of the best biscuits you've ever eaten. The staff and regulars are full of local color including Betsy and her pigtails who has been a waitress here since Methuzala. My sons love the deep fried French toast and chicken biscuit. The sweet tea gets a solid 10. The pancakes are always good and the country ham salty like its supposed to be. This is the spot where the old guys "hold court", construction guys get an egg sandwich, the local ladies meet before tennis, and the tourists "in the know" and weekenders eat their favorite beach breakfast. Great food and memories here.

“Simply good hotdogs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Don't think you will be pampered or coddled. This is a working man's grill. The food is excellent, plain and simple. Modestly priced with a good variety.

“So-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Pretty good burger. It seemed to be fresh, but nothing special. Not even sure it had salt or pepper. If you like a burger that is pretty much a ground beef patty slapped on the grill either do it yourself or pay a little extra and have them do it for you. Add some frozen deep fried fries or onion rings and you've got The Dawg House. Nothing to rave about. I've had better....and worse. Not a bad alternative to McDonalds if you want a burger or dog or something deep fried...for a little more money. All that I really took away from eating here is being able to say; "I ate at that little local dive called the Dawg House." for whatever that's worth.
