A visit to the Sof-T-Shop may remind you of your childhood. The small old style window-order restaurant is located in the Newton Grove Circle. If you are searching for a place to stop on the way to the beach or a motorcycle jaunt, check out this little dive (and I mean that in a loving way). The lady running the place is personable and the menu is truly old school. Check it out: fired livers and gizzards, fried okra and yellow squash (yummy), fresh trout sandwiches, NC BBQ, any kind of sundae or shake you could want. We had chili cheeseburgers. I think that patty was made there. The bread was soft and steamed - yum! They had a couple of covered picnic tables which are nice on a pretty day. I like supporting local places like this compared to the chains across the street. Stop by the farm market while you are there!
