The "new" building the desk clerk assigned us to could not have been new at all...maybe new to the Sheraton acquisition team is all we could figure, since the elevator was old enough to have dirty carpeting, as well as more than a few bumps and gouges and the pipe handrail at the entrance seemed to have been recently installed by a drunkard. A little strange, too, was the central fountain in the lobby that had water in it even though it was not operating. But nonetheless, the room was clean and a good size, the decorating was nice, and the little balcony had a wonderful view of the water. We wanted a refrigerator and a microwave but got a flat screen TV instead. The room was quiet, likely because it seemed as if we were the only people in the place. The 2 double beds were not lumpy but seemed a little too springy for our sleep styles. A nice ceiling fan and central air were a bonus. No noisy, annoying air conditioner under a window, thank goodness. One little issue and not a problem with the room, but a problem with the on-site restaurant. Both of us had a bout with food poisoning after dinner.
