The house is lovely, the furnishings, the sitting room, the dining room, all beautifully detailed. The room was opulent, the king bed was soft, (next time I am buying a set of their sheets!) and we slept wonderfully. The jetted bath was great for relaxing after the drive. Social hour was nice, the Inn keeper made our reservations for dinner, truly helped us have a memorable evening. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, the food was beyond expectations, my only regret is that we only stayed one night!

This is truly a very special and wonderful Bed and Breakfast destination. I travel on business frequently to New Bern and the Aerie is the only place I stay. There are many reasons I love The Aerie such as the incredible breakfast with a choice of a three egg cheese omelet, french toast or pancakes all delicious presented to me like I am royalty, the luxurious rooms with the most comfortable soft sheets on the planet, the location to many fine restaurants within walking distance, Banjo my four legged friend, and the wonderful hospitality of Marty, Michael and their staff. But mostly, Marty and Michael have always made me feel like I am coming back home. I am so grateful to them for making my business trips wonderfully pleasant.

I stayed recently for a friend's wedding at the Aerie. The place is great, full of interesting details that highlights this beautiful house's rich history. The couple who run always found the time to make everyone feel like you are the only one staying in the B&B. The wedding was at the B&B, organized by them and still it was such an intimate experience. I highly recommend this place for your romantic comfortable stay in New Bern.

In looking for a surprise getaway for my husband's birthday, I came across The Aerie. Based on the other reviews, it sounded perfect and now as we are leaving New Bern and driving home, I too can personally say, our visit was nothing less than perfect! Marty & Michael truly know the meaning of hospitality and their attention to detail in everything they do is noteworthy. We stayed in the Kennebec Room on the 2nd floor and it was a lovely room. The bed was luxurious and the breakfast was simply delicious each morning. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit with other guests during the complimentary wine/appetizer social in the evening. Overall, our experience was superb! If you are looking for a getaway, look no further, stay at The Aerie and you'll have a wonderful time exploring New Bern!

We arrived during the late afternoon wine and appetizer social in the parlor and were immediately welcomed by the owners and other guests. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. The bed and bedding seemed luxurious. Breakfast was not only delicious but beautifully presented. We appreciated the wi-fi access. The Aerie is within walking distance of downtown and historic sites. We enjoyed the Aerie and New Bern so much, we decided to extend our stay. The owners make you feel at home.

We snuck away for a romantic weekend and found tthe Aerie B & B. We stayed in in the Duck Inn room which was one of the smaller rooms but very accomodating. From the moment we arrived we were treated like friends. The entire place was spotless and nicely furnished. There were several "free" ammenities that just showed the attention to detail and thoughfulness of the owners. Each night at the wine/snack get together Michael would assist all the guests with their dinner reservations and we could all share our day and chat. I would highly recommend staying here as virtually everything is within a couple of blocks. We joked that the breakfast was camera worthy and too pretty to eat but gobbled it right up it was so delicious. I would highly recommend staying there.

2-3 Mar the Company used the Aerie Inn to support our annual Board of Directos meeting for the second year in a row and the results were outstanding. The accomodations never fail to impresss all who stay at the Inn and the breakfasts are events to remember.

Inn keepers Marty & Michael meet and exceed all our needs to include catering working lunches and other special requests of the visiting board members.

Using the Aerie Inn for our Board meeting guarantees all members show.

Room Tip: If stairs are a difficulty ask for a ground floor room
