Any problem or question you have, the staff can help you. The best thing about this hotel is it is no smoking in the rooms or on the decks. It was great falling to sleep with the waves crashing against the shore.

My husband and I stayed at Surf Side while we were in Nags Head for the OBX Half Marathon in November 2012. We had an excellent, excellent stay! You couldn't beat the price and our room was great and exactly what we needed. The hotel and grounds were very nice and very, very clean. We stayed in the main building (north tower) and had a pool view on the second floor. I would definitely reccomend the pool view because it really seemed like an ocean view, but was less expensive. Beds were comfortable, housekeeping had our room clean before noon, room was very clean. There was a small (dorm size) fridge and microwave which was nice. Although we didn't take advantage due to our schedule, they offered a wine tasting Saturday afternoon and had a continental breakfast in the mornings. We plan to stay here again for next year's race.

We stayed at Surf Side in November on 2nd floor oceanfront. First trip to OBX and loved it!! Hotel was extremely clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. Photos on the website don't do it justice. Expected a much older-looking hotel, but everything was better than expected. Continental breakfast was good. Kids loved it. Location is near Jeanette's Pier which is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

This was our second trip down to the Surfside, and it is the only hotel I will stay at in the Outer Banks. It is a quiet, peaceful hotel with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is very helpful and polite. I can't wait to go back again!
