I have been really looking for a good seafood place, so I drove 300 miles to Kill Devil Hills to chow down and do some hang gliding. I saw Armstrongs' sign and pulled right in. The seafood case is stocked with fresh rockfish, shrimp and flounder, so I ordered the rockfish, fried, and a dozen oysters, half raw and half steamed to see what it was like. The oysters were super fresh and slightly briney, I like them better raw than steamed but it was worth a try. The rockfish came out perfectly fried, thin but crisp coating was delicious. I ordered mine with sides of fried potato dusted with old bay and corn fritters which were really good as well.
Excellent seafood! Looks to be a newer place and they are doing everything right!
