The earlier review made us extremely nervous, but there were no other vacancies in the area at the time of booking. I must point out that this is NOT a five diamond or four star hotel. Travelers used to luxury or above average appointments should find another place to stay. Not a honeymoon haven. This is a basic place to spend the night, and as of this writing, the rooms had been freshly painted. You could still smell the paint drying. The doors were old-fashioned keyed locks. Our fellow guests were Harley bikers, who were very polite and friendly. The carpets need work, but it would not surprize me to learn they were next on the to do list. The linens were clean, and the service was adequate. Of special note was the fact that during checkout, I was pointedly asked if everything was okay. They said they cannot get better unless they know what is wrong. Not exactly taking service by the horns, but at least they are aggressively willing to correct issues. We found no issues and had a good nights sleep. There really is a decent mountain vista from some of the rooms!
