“Great place while in-transit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

Arrived in the p.m. at RDU and needed an overnight hotel. Chose the HI Express near the airport and both my wife and I were pleased. Counter lady - Lexi was very friendly and helpful. I inadvertently misplaced something and called the hotel from a local restaurant and the manager even went outside to see if the article was there - all staff very friendly. Rooms clean and typical efficient Holiday Inn Express rooms. Morning free breakfast was warm foods and choice of cereals, various pastries, etc. Again, food service staff very friendly and helpful. Clean room, friendly staff, comfortable bed and reasonable rate - will choose this hotel without hesitation if travelling through Raleigh/Durham Airport again.

I fly into Raleigh-Durham Airport several times each year, and there are several hotels near the airport. This one is about two miles away, so you don't get too much noise where you're staying, but it's super easy to get from the hotel to the airport, and there's a big highway just up the road, as well, I-40, that you can jump on to easily get to Greensboro, Durham, etc. It's just a great spot to stay.

The facility is clean, the staff were friendly and courteous, and I got a great night's sleep. You get complimentary breakfast with your stay, and it's pretty good. Eggs, sausage, bacon, and biscuits! I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Stayed here last week for 2 nights. My room and the hotel in general was very clean. The staff was courteous at check-in and in the hallway. RDU is close and it's true, the planes fly directly overhead. I don't mind because I enjoy watching them come in. Great deep dish pizza a block away at Joe's Flightpath pizza.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night.. Great hotel.. Good service and the rooms were super clean which is why I choose this hotel from other reviews. The reason it did not get a 5 is because of the fact that it is close to the airport and you can hear the planes fly by.. But of you do not mind the noise then I would def go to this hotel.. Price wasn't bad at all either!

My boyfriend and I were going to a hockey game in Raleigh and wanted something close but not too close. This was the hotel I priced the lowest. I was nervous at first not sure the whole hotel close to the airport would be okay. It was great. This hotel was easy to find but don't be confused with parking...there are a lot of hotels around the area it was a little confusing at first. Check-in was easy. The room was nice and clean. We heard very little noise of airplanes at night (but we had the fan going all night) If you are wanting to get sleep during the day at this hotel...I advise this is not the hotel for you. Breakfast was great! Hot and ready, not too many people; a lot of space to sit. When going to take a shower...the water would turn hot and then cold and would never really be comfortable. All in all for $71, this is a great hotel for the night. Would probably stay again.

Very close to the airport! Rooms are clean, Desk staff is nice, and accomodating. Stayed here 2x this week, on the way in, and way out of RDU. Would stay again!

Room Tip: Wed night between 5:30-6:30 is a managers reception, free beer, pizza, pasta, salad and dessert! Mo...

I especially liked not being bothered by housekeeping. There were lots of vacancies, so no housekeeping in sight and no competition at the breakfast area. Rooms were clean and staff was especially pleasant and helpful. Some airplane noise, but quiet most of the night. The Italian restaurant less than a mile away (Babymoon - weird name) is really good. Would definitely stay here again.
