“Seafood as it should be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Had the most awesome clam chowder and then some buffalo shrimp. Very impressed with the food and service and price. The seafood menu was very impressive and it was hard to choose from the wide range of options. Will definitely be going back to sample more. Try and sit at the bar as much better atmosphere than the tables

“Great place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Ate there one time while visiting friends in Mooresville and was really impressed. The raw oysters were some of the best I have had and for dinner I had the shrimp and grits. The dish had more shrimp on it than I would have expected and the grits were perfect with cheese . It was a wonderful meal. They bring you pitchers of tea so you don't have to wait for refills and this was good because the place was packed and the waitresses were very busy. My only regret is that I did not get to go back before leaving the area because it was That Good.

“Fun setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

On the outside this restaurant looks a bit old but has NASCAR vehicles setting on top of the building which catches the eye. We visited on a Friday and had a short wait. The restaurant is very large and they cleaned tables rapidly. The menu is mostly seafood and they have an oyster bar that is at the actual bar. It seemed like the speciality is fried seafood which came quickly. I had the fried flounder and shrimp and it was very good. The price is not cheap like I thought it might be looking at the outside. The average price for a plate is about $20 - 25 dollars. The atmosphere is okay it is a mixture of many things sports, ocean, country etc. They have a tiny candy store in the front on your way out.

“Always a pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Sometimes I wonder whether my family wants to visit Lake Norman to enjoy the lake, or only to have supper at Big Daddys. Freddie Lancaster makes his guests feel like family, always roaming the dining rooms asking patrons if they need anything and how you are enjoying the food. It's hard to recommend any particular items, as I love them all. Big Daddy's special Shrimp, or fried shrimp, or lobster, or crab legs, or oysters...............I could go right down the menu. They have specials for seniors, and we always take home a doggie bag (which is not for the dog!). Prices are reasonable for this upscale area, and the service is as expected. Just try not to fill up on their wellstocked salad bar, save room for the seafood!!!
