Had lunch after reading reviews - it turned out to be just around the corner of our vacation rental.
It is actually NOT hard to find. After road widening the Brawley School Rd. /Canvass Back Rd. intersection is huge (oversized) and the first big one (after 2 lights or so) after the Williamson Rd/Brawley School Rd. Intersection. The strip mall itself is small and take-out is right next to Film rental place.
The eat-in option is very limited: 2-3 high tables with bar stools. The food comes out in plastic trays, you get plastic knife&fork and styrofoam cups. I think a 5 star rating as "restaurant" is just a little too much here.
The staff was very friendly - a lunch time one man show for cooking and serving and working the register. Still, wait was short.
We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries, the pulled pork salad and half a rack of ribs with okra and onion rings. The food was very good: the salad not just iceberg, the pulled pork tasty, the BBQ sauces yummy and the tasty meat came nicely off the bones. Overall quality was very good. I would have preferred a better bun for my pulled pork, however.
The size of the portions was good and sastisfying - Ribs on the Run is NOT doing the "supersize" approach of substituting quantity for quality - so do not expect overflowing plates. The customer pictures posted here give a good impression of what you get.
The lunch pricing for sandwich & salad with drink was fair - you can check the menu and prices online. We used the 5% off if paid with cash option.
Overall - a very good alternative to eating at a chain restaurant with local flair if you are in the I-77 Exit 33/36 area
