“Okay in a pinch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Clean and efficient service for the time of evening as it was very busy, Friday night. Very small bar area but had attentive bar tender. Food very middle-of-the-road. Table wait staff excellent. Well patronized but we probably would not stop there again with many other better options close by.

“Semi-hidden little Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Tried it for the first time in December 2012 and it was a pleasant surprise. Stopped in for lunch with my family and then again for dinner the following weekend. I bragged to a neighbor how good and fresh the seafood was and she was not disappointed. It sits in a plaza off I-77 & Hwy 150 but kind of goes un-noticed unless you are in the parking lot. What a wonderful find that we will frequent.

“A good change”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Joe fish is different then most restaurants with different and great seafood. their crab cakes are out of sight as well as their lobster tails. and something unique is their lobster mashed potatoes. Nothing fancy located in a strip mall but great food.

“Consistently good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012 via mobile

If you want a low keyed kinda place to go and have fresh seafood then this is your place!!!
Lobster, haddock cooked all kinds of way, shrimp , scallops you name it they have!
Fried broiled, sautéed with pasta or not.
Always fresh and tasty along with friendly service!!!
One of our favorites!!!.

“Good food, good service, fair price, nursing home atmospere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

I agree with almost all the reviews so far. Come here if you want some tasty, lightly fried fish or some decent mussels. Don't expect anything bold. Just get fries on the side since the steamed veggies and cole slaw must be just for decoration since they are tasteless. This is not your typical southern fish camp so don't ask for hush puppies. You can live (better) without them anyway.

Joe Fish has some passable wines on the list at fair prices. The beer selection extends a half a notch past the "fill-in-the blank Lites" you see in most places like this. Sweetwater 420 is as edgy as it gets though. Not bad.

I must be the only reviewer under 55 though since no one has pointed out the distinct nursing home feel of the place. Come to think of it, if you don't count the two or three grand-kids in the dining room, we were the only patrons younger than 55 during each of our visits. I know I'll be old someday too but I think Joe Fish could do a little more to make a younger crowd welcome. Perhaps spicing up the side dishes would help. Maybe it's the orange wall paint.

I'll be back. Perhaps next time I'll just come a little later in the evening.
