“Not the best in town”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Service was slow, food was pedestrian, and overly seasoned. It really could use a face lift, and a good cleaning.

“Great Italian food and desserts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

in this same shopping center is a Carrabbas chain Italian restaurant.. if you are going there..Forgetaboutit! Go behind them to Fontanella! The restaurant is intimate, but the tables are not too crowded, has a small bar, and fabulous food! We had the spagetti and meatballs, with home made meatballs with more meat than filler and not a ton of spices to hide all the filler chain restaurant meatballs have. I think they were beef and veal. The sauce was light and not overly spiced or salted. Yay! My sister had the lasagna and loved it. The fagioli soup was also not overly spiced or salted. Best garlic cheese bread ever! Tons of cheese. The house salads were generous in size and the desserts..wow! The cheesecake actully tasted like cheesecake! No mamby pamby frozen cheesecake wanta be like every place else in town and the "death by chocolate" was a fudgy, dense, chocolate dessert that was rich and served with ice cream. The only things I could fault them for, was when they offered coffee with the dessert, we were charged $2,25 each for it. Now everywhere we have eaten lately, if you get dessert and coffee is offered, it's always free. So they shouldn't offer it if you have to pay for it. The crust of the cheesecake picked up a slight taste from the fridge, so please wrap those desserts in something airtight. They offer a lunch buffett every day, so we will be back to have a go at that. Go early, as they have a faithful following.

“mmmm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

Had the pleasure of stopping in one night for dinner and boy was I in for a treat. I took a risk and got the sausage and peppers...its something I love but hate to order for fear of disappointment. Well let me say I was head over heels in love great marinara house made sausage this was a dish that had been shown some love. The service was nice great wine selection mostly Italian. Had the tiramisu for dessert kinda disappointed didn't have much of that coffee/espresso flavor and too much cream.

“Hit or (mostly) Miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2011

I'll preface this with we really want and encourage the independent, non-chain restaurants to make it. We've been here several times. The lunch buffet concept is good for quantity and variety, not quality. The dinner menu is over-priced and last couple of visits the food has been less and less good. Just not able to embrace this restaurant as a favorite.
