“Jasper says PAWS UP for the Alamo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

Dawn & Mike were great hosts - friendly and warm people. We stayed in one of the cottages. It is an older motel, but it is very charming, VERY clean and everything was in working order. It did not have that smell that sometimes older establishments have. We ate dinner in their gazebo one evening. It was selected as a midway point between Asheville & the Smoky Mountains and it worked out great. I would stay there again. I just wish I had taken a picture of Jasper on the porch!!!

Dawn and mike are wonderfully sweet. They take pride in their cottages- it's more like you are welcome into their home not just a place to stay. The cottage was very clean and ready to go for us for an early check in. Dawn watched my pups while we went skiing and now she is their new bf. The cottages are a little rustic but for the value paid it is well worth it!

Nothing fancy as far as amenities go but everything works and is clean and well kept. The hosts are very kind and make you feel right at home. We had two small dogs and she took better care of them while we were out than we do! Great place, will return.

The wonderful service Dawn and Mike provide, and the affordable prices, make this an ideal place to stay in Maggie Valley! Dawn was excellent in booking us, and then called on the day we were set to check in to make sure our drive was going okay. She even checked on our pup while we spent the day skiing. The rooms were clean, cozy and quaint - nothing fancy or upgraded, but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Anytime we visit Maggie Valley, we'll definitely stay at Alamo!

We went back in november 2013 in Maggie Walley to Alamo Motel&Cottages and we had a great time again, like always. I always feel like at home in their place. Our room was the warmest and cleanest you'll ever find with red or red and white colored sheets, pillowcases and bed covers and beautiful shower curtain. Never seen something like this at other hotels. It's just wonderful! .Mike and Dawn are the kindest Motel/Hotel owners we ever met.Every time we leave we're already planning our next trip back. Thank you so much for everything :)
