“Another yearly fav.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

Came here all the time when I was a kid, and continue to come as often as I am in town. Great place to good. Neat atmosphere! Wait times can be a bit of a pain, but everything else is wonderful.

“Joey's - The Very Best Breakfast in the South”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

Have been eating at Joeys for many, many years - the food is wonderful, the atmosphere is super, the service is outstanding, and everyone is smiling and happy because they are eating at Joeys. A great way to start a day in the Smokies.

“Love this place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

When I go visit my brother and his wife in Waynesville, we always go here. Good food, sweet people, and all of the otehr reviews are right...quite often lots of bikers (old ones), and often a long wait, especially weekends. The food is always very good and satisfying. Yummy sweet potato pancakes, fluffy as clouds pecan pancakes, great potato casserole, eggs perfectly cooked, and really friendly and happy staff. I love the sweet little old lady who greets us at the door often. She is so cute....under 5 feet tall and cute as can be! Lots of locals here too.

“Stoke Up For The Ride!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

From 7 am to noon, this place processes hundreds of hungry folks, including hoards of motorcycle riders heading into the mountains, in the most professional, efficient and friendly way that I've ever seen. From the ladies guarding the doors and organizing seating, to the wait staff, to the guys and gals in the kitchen, everyone does a terrific job. Have a big group (like ours of about two dozen)? Call in advance and they'll be ready for you. Otherwise, at the busy time, you might have to break up or wait a while. The fare is 100% breakfast. No fancy sandwiches; no lasagna. Just specialty pancakes, waffles, eggs in one form or another, and every thing that goes with them. All served fresh, hot, fast enough and accurate. A few "heart healthy" items, including Egg Beaters, are also available for those so inclined. A group of us senior motorcyclists from a coastal plantation stayed across the street at the Jonathan Creek Inn (which I also recommend) and waddled over to Joey's every morning before riding out. It couldn't have been more convenient and couldn't have been a better deal. Photos? Who takes pictures of pancakes and bacon? There's no time before grabbing your utensils and gobbling them up. Bikes may be powered by gasoline, but their riders are powered by Joey's pancakes and omelets!
