“No quiet time!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

We are repeat visitors for many many years but this visit was not good! 6am until 8:45am Saturday morning kids jumping and running around in room above us. We asked front desk to call them. They made excuses that they were getting ready to ski. Not a good response. I would have liked to enjoy my sleep since we didnt pay for a room to lay awake in. Poor customer service. Many of my friends have stayed here because I told them it was a great place. Now...not so much.

Hi,
We are truly sorry that your sleep was disturbed. We fully agree that when you are on vacation you should be able to rest undisturbed. Unfortunately this holiday weekend always brings with it, particular problem. Probably 80% of the time over the past ten years this weekend has literally sold out and turned away skiers. We therefore often warn our skiers to get up early and be at the ski area an hour or so before it opens. We have had many very unhappy skiers when they travel all the way here and fail to get to go skiing. The ski area has assed more parking over the last couple of years which has helped quite a bit, however that concern still lingers.
Regardless, we agree that you were disturbed, and we will send you a gift certificate to hopefully convince you to try us again. One tip. On these crazy weekends ask for an upstairs room. Better views and no one overhead to walk around in heavy boots etc. Always the choice of many of our repeat guests during the busier ski days. We do appreciate your business and hope to see you return soon.

My wife and I are repeat guests and our last visit was 01/25/2013.I can only say you will be very happy you took the time to stay here. This place feels like home and is American owned
and managed for years. When we got there before 12noon Alice was working the desk and we got checked in and into the room right away.I suggest asking what type rooms they have and try and get your room creek side, this is great. They have an indoor swimming pool year round
play area for kids.I have become a return guest simply because as we spend our hard earned
money the value here is worth it and mostly appreciated by the folks who run this hotel.Very clean and rooms offer latest things expected this day and time.Ask for Alice when you call
and tell her the folks from Lincolnton sent you,she is so helpful,as everyone else is.I look forward to our next visit,I suggest making in advance your reservation,as they have regular
return customers. You will not be disappointed! Cross the street and have a great breakfast at Joeys Pancake House.

We recently stayed at Jonathan Creek Inn. We've been coming here for well over 15 years. Our favorite room is # 212, it has a great view of the mountains on the front and overlooks Jonathan creek on the back. Our room was clean and in good order as usual, Plenty of coffee, and we popped corn in the microwave. Ms. Alice, who manages the Inn, always takes care of us and make us feel so special, as does Ms. Wanda who runs it in the evenings. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the lobby. We ate at Hurley's Restaurant next door, and enjoyed the good food and service there too. We always have a relaxing stay there, and we will continue you recommend Jonathan Creek Inn to everyone.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms offer best mountain views, while first floor rooms are closet to the creek,

My wife and I have been staying in Jonathans Motel , twice a year , for 10 years . I highly recommend that you try a stay . . The motel is very clean, well maintained , close to very fine restaurants, and many attractions .The personel, and the manager Alice, could not be nicer to deal with. They take care of any situation you could encounter ,.
The rear of the motel has covered outside patios for you to relax , and a pool .
There are screened in porches and rooms with a jacuzzi.
We highly recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: Just tell Alice what you would like, she will try her best to acommodate you .

To start off with the location was very convenient, with an amazing place for breakfast right across the road & a great place for lunch/dinner right beside. Other food places are near by & right on a main road, walking distance to Tube World & Ghost Town in the sky. The room we stayed in was one with a two person jacuzzi tub in the room, with separate bath on the second floor. We will defiantly be back, if we can, come spring/summer/fall & will get a room creek side. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, clean place, beautiful creek area, places to grill, & just hang out, creek side hot tub, indoor pool. No complaints at all!!

We have been coming to the NC and Tenn mountains for 20+ years. We usually take 3 - 4
trips per year, one each season when we can. We have been staying at Jonathan Creek Inn for about 15 years. True Southern Hospitality! We have always been treated like family. The rooms and the grounds are always clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Alice is always willing to go the extra mile in finding the perfect room. Keith is very helpful too, as are all the staff. Jonathan Creek Inn is a perfect central location for all there is to do in the Smokies. We hope to be coming here for the next 20 years!

Room Tip: Lower level rooms on the creek offer easy access to the wonderful Jonathan Creek just behind the mot...
