With the majority of motels in Maggie Valley possessing a little age on them, we highly recommend the Castlewood. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton, this is not the motel for you. However, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, cost effective and convenient motel, this definitely is the one for you. The family owners are extremely friendly and accomodating; going above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one. You can even watch some of your past favorite VHS movies at no cost from their massive collection. We plan to return in a couple of weeks with our elderly, but spry parents. I overheard people favorably commenting on the contiental breakfast, however, I can not attest to it because we so enjoy Joey's Pancake House. Give the Castlewood a try and I believe you will be a return customer!! We definitely will be!

We just returned home from 4 days in Maggie Valley. We waited until we got there to book our room and I,m so glad we did. We picked Castlewood and this is where we stay from now on when we visit. The owners are great and it is the cleanest motel we have ever stayed. The rooms were clean and fresh. The cleaning staff was also very nice checking on our needs and delivering fresh towels every day. There was someone cleaning something all through the day. The only downfall I found was there was no laundry facilities, I like to keep my laundry done up so I don't have to carry dirty cloths home.
