“Three beautiful waterfalls in one place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Best on weekdays but anytime the area is beautiful. A moderate walk takes you to a viewing area of the two waterfalls and above the third that cascades down into Linville Gorge. The next hike takes you up to a viewing area for the third falls and a spectacular view of the Gorge. We went a short ways up old 105 and saw several hikers heading down into the Gorge with their camping gear. Years ago I took the old rte. 105 all the way across to Lake James. Its a rough road and best to have a sturdy vehicle but was worth the 3 hours drive.

Loved hiking there. Surprises around every nook and cranny. Wasn't what I expected it to be but was much more. Very beautiful and real.
